Objective
My objective is to work for a company that will allow me to grow and develop. A company
t hat will allow me to use my mind to solve problems. A company that I can advance in and
become the best that I can be. I am looking for something that will also give me time to be
w ith my family. I am a single dad raising a 9yr old girl. This is my motivation, to be able to
p rovide for my daughter and to be there for her when needed. I am not looking for a job; I
am looking for a career opportunity.
Qualifications
I have about 10 years Management experience which shows my leadership abilities. I have
worked 5 years as a Research and Development Technician for a prosthetics company which
demonstrates my problem solving and creative abilities. And I am currently working in the
consumer electronics field which has kept me up to date with the latest technologies. Also,
my Academic Achievements prove that I am highly capable of learning new things. I am
currently taking online courses to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.

M y main responsibility at Radio Shack is helping people with there consumer electronics
and wireless needs. Other responsibilities are opening and closing the store, cash control
and banking, inventory control, price audits, planagrams, store security.
Jan 2002 to June 2010 Long John Silvers St. Petersburg, FL Position Restaurant General
M anager
Responsibilities of Restaurant General Manager are Customer relations, Hi ring and firing,
T raining, Inventory control, ordering product, Managing P & L’s (Profit & Loss), Dealing
w ith various vendors, maintenance, scheduling, safety audits, food safety inspections, safety
t raining, all other duties required to operate a Quick Service Seafood Restaurant.
Oct 2000 to Apr 2005 ALPS South Corp. St. Petersburg, FL Position Research &
Development Technician
As a R & D tech, I was responsible with meeting with the company President and engineer
to go over plans and specs for product prototypes and improvements to existing products.
T hey would then assign me the task of making a working prototype, testing it and then
w hen it meets specs, I would present the data to the engineer with the procedures that I
developed for making the product. If product did not meet test specs, I would t rouble shoot
and make necessary design adjustments until specs were met. The engineer would then
t ake prototype and my list of procedures to the Company President. If the President
approved, then machinery would be built to mass produce new product. I was involved in
many research projects over the years and the project that made me the most proud netted
t he company millions of dollars.
Other Work Experiences
I have had many experiences over the last 30 years that I have been working. I have held
other management positions and other technical positions such as: Field Technician for
I KON Office Solutions, Knit ting Machine Fixer for Amos & Smith Hosiery Mills. Also spent
several years operating industrial machines and even ran a business of my own for a short
t ime.
