FLORIDA LAND AND RANCHES, 2005 - 2009, SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER.
Land acquisition and project management on $15 million water front
community. Responsible for all zoning, permitting, contracts, development
and construction of Pointe Shores, a private gated community on Lake
Thurmond in north Georgia. Real estate evaluation and acquisition of
property in north Georgia for development.
PREFERRED SITES, LLC, 2000 - 2004, SITE ACQUISITION MANAGER. Directed
leasing of sites for the wireless communication industry. Identified and
leased cell tower sites through out the southeast, meeting stringent zoning
requirements. Negotiated complex contracts between landowners, local
governments and parent communications companies. Work included zoning and
permitting and collocation negotiations along with some project management.
W.T., INC., 1990 - 2000, PRESIDENT. Founded start-up company which
achieved $2 million in annual sales and 23% gross profit margin in land and
timber brokerage. Directed all operations including procurement,
logistics, cost control, P&L, budgeting and forecasting. Negotiated
contracts for purchase of land and timber. Coordinated acquisition of land
with investors, developers, real estate companies and contractors.
FEDERAL PAPER BOARD, INC., 1982 - 1990, DISTRICT OPERATIONS MANAGER.
Supervised plant and site construction. Directed long range planning,
budgets, procurement, logistics, and inventories for fortune 100 company.
Instituted management systems/ procedures that increased production volume
by 14% and saved $550K in raw material costs. Directed the development and
operation of a start-up wood products plant including planning,
construction, contract negotiations, and staffing.
GILES AND KENDALL, INC., 1978 - 1982, VICE PRESIDENT. Responsible for all
raw material procurement, inventory control, production, land management
and staffing. Supervised plant operations. Developed cost control and
procurement procedures that doubled production volumes while increasing
costs by only 3%. Instituted the retrieval and sale of plant waste which
yielded $700K initially and over $200K annually there after.
