. Strong individual contributor, as well as, team member with a proven
track record.
o Experienced creating comprehensive documentation and test plans to
meet product design specifications.
o Generated test function libraries and menu interface for automated
testers.
o Experienced in creating windows based programs, DLLs, and ActiveX
Components.
o Created numerous Automated System testers using custom and off the
shelf equipment. Device drivers for custom and off the shelf hardware
were developed where needed.
o Supported other Test Engineers accomplish required tasks as needed.
o Directly involved in multiple successful New Product Introduction
launches.
o Helped develop and deploy five complex test stations in just four
months for NPI launch.
o Helped department successfully pass FDA audits and EURO inspection
audits.
o Redesigned aging testers, increasing through put by 50% and allowed a
single technician to test up to 60 monitors per day significantly
reducing production time and cost.
. Regularly used industry standard test software, programmable equipment
and interfaces, including:
o HP\Agilent\Textronix digital scopes, multimeters and power supplies
via IEEE488 bus and USB.
o Developed custom automated test stations for patient monitor sub
systems. Allowed for flexibly in design only requiring that new test
heads were developed for new sub systems.
o Developed state of the art testers using software and equipment from
National Instruments, including C, C++, Labview and TestStand.

. Developed USB based real-time physiological waveform simulator
(Argos)\ArgosII).
o Pioneered custom patient waveform simulation algorithms for patient
parameters such as EKG, SpO2, IBP, ETCo2 and Temp. Specifically SpO2
(Saturated Oxygen)
o Incorporating custom and third party ActiveX components from Internal
and External Engineers
o Fully customizable patient response waveform signal generator.
o Features not available from standard test equipment manufacturers.
o Kept cost low by allowing any standard PC to become a patient
simulator.
o In use by our R & D, Validation and Verification and production groups
for over 20 years.
o Enhanced and upgraded as new test needs arose.
o Argos was DOS based with custom designed PC interface boards.
o ArgosII completely redesigned for modularity and simplicity with USB
interface using Visual Studios C++.
. When required, testing of complex devices was accomplished by developing
custom hardware/software solutions.
