forty years of increasingly difficult, and varied experience in significant

positions with first-class organizations. I progressed from programmer to

team leader to supervisor to manager while employed in the Directorate

Management Information System with the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD),

the sole army installation for the repair and overhaul of military

helicopters. I was involved in the major projects in support of the

management information directorate's effort to maintain viable information

systems for the depot. I supported software engineers, a database manager,

configuration manager, instruction developer and a technical writer, in

maintaining and developing the Navy's T45TS pilot training system as the

prime contractor's, (The Boeing Company), singular software quality control

specialist at the Kingsville Naval Air Station.

MANAGER:

. Managed the Computer Operations Division, which consisted of the

Computer Operations Branch, Terminal Operations Branch, and the

Systems Support Branch.

. Chief of the Technical and Administrative Support Division, which

included: equipment purchases, reports control, system change

control, system documentation library and the directorate budget.

. Branch chief for software integration, responsible for developing

local unique applications, and supporting the army's Standard Depot

System, monitoring the depot's network, and supporting the depot with

the technology help function.

LEADER:

. Selected to a team to develop the Standard Depot System (SDS) at the

Central System Design Agency in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and lead

the effort to convert local financial systems to the standard depot

financial systems.

. Leader of a team to develop a continuity of operations plan for the

directorate and was involved in the first successful execution of the

plan.

. Implemented a new army security regulation at the depot, which

included emanation, physical and personal security measures.

. Team leader in the project to convert Control Data Corporation

equipment and operating systems to an IBM environment. Obtained and

installed equipment, converted the software, tested new equipment and

software, site preparation and insured training of appropriate

personnel.

. Developed the Statement of Work (SOW), on which a contract for

computer operations would be based, and assisted in preparation of the

depot's successful bid.

. Team leader of five programmer/analysts supporting the CCAD financial

directorate's information technology requirements.

TECHNICIAN:

. Programming languages utilized include; assembly languages, report

program generators, C, Basic, COBOL, SQL, and Visual Basic using

numerous operating systems, file systems, databases, and supporting

operating software.

. Involved in programming large integrated systems such as the army's

Standard Depot System, and lesser standalone systems.

. Developed the logic, system design and databases for the Maintenance

Information Resource Application for the CCAD maintenance directorate.

. Contacted by L3 Communications to work with a team of analyst at CCAD

to assist in the conversion of the Standard Depot System to SAP.

. Ensured that the automated naval training curriculum met navy

requirements and standards, and functioned properly prior to

implementation.

. Developed forms to capture errors and anomalies in the application

software and the test plans for correction by the software engineers.

. Developed charts to track the errors and anomalies and presented to

management to assist in maintaining the highest level of quality.

. Developed checklists and performed monthly and quarterly audits of all

information technology functions to ensure that contractual

obligations were being satisfied.
