To Whom It May Concern,
I, personally, have been repairing computers since 1997 and have only
recently begun looking for an Information Technology career. My first
attempt at said career was Cune Electronics Systems, a small company
with a contract from Spring Branch ISD. When that contract was not
renewed, it went out of business! Although my time at Cune was short-
lived, it was never-the-less eventful. There I touched more than one
hundred Dell desktops and laptops and a several Hewlett Packard
Printers. These service calls were both on-site (in schools) and
bench repairs. With the printers I handled Jet Direct (network card)
issues and parts replacement. On the Desktops I dealt with hard drive
replacements, replacing various other drives (floppy, DVD Rom etc.),
graphics cards and mother boards. Troubleshooting was a must- this
often required calling Dell technical support. As for the notebooks,
I replaced LCD screens, keyboards, hard drives, ram and motherboards.
Cursory lists of my personal tools are as follows:
Hardware: anti-static strap and bags, compressed air, ratchet,
multi-head, and miniature screwdriver sets, 500Gb Maxtor
ext.HDD, Thermaltake 2.5/3.5 inch HDD dock, Fluke 7-600
voltmeter, rubber keyboard and mouse, IDE to SATA adapter,
various cords, cables, adapters and screws, flash drives,
magnifying glass
Software: Windows System Tools and Chkdsk, Paragon HDD Mgr.
2009, Acronis Disk Director and True Image, Hiren's Boot Disk
v10, ERD Commander 2005, Diskeeper 2010, Runtime Get Back Data
v4, Systweak's Advanced System Optimizer v3, and CCleaner, CPUz,
S.IW. 2010, WinPatrol 2010 (to control startup programs), use of
various free software (on CD and flashdrives) and online virus
scanners
I am quite qualified as a Computer Technician and as of April 12th, I
have been working for myself, www.hornetpcrepair.com. The next step
then, is to see how we may best serve each other in a professional
business relationship /environment. I look forward to further contact
and thank you in advance for both your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Steve A. Tolson
