Adaptis administers the healthcare transactions for 240,000+ Washington Medicaid, SCHIP, Basic Health and

Medicare Advantage members, processing over $650 million of annualized premiums and $620 million of annualized

claims expense.

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

As a key member of the senior executive team, responsible for all areas of finance and accounting,

including investments in international subsidiaries, fixed-income investment securities

portfolio, annual and strategic planning, capital management, as well as leadership of specific

strategic initiatives to support the growth and continued innovation of the business. Provide

direction and mentoring to the finance and accounting team.

• Developed investment objectives and established performance benchmarks, policies, and

strategies for a large diversified Investment portfolio; total returns exceeded benchmark by

Strategy, Regulatory Relations and Financial Management (Independent

Consulting Assignment)

Collaborated with senior corporate executives and subsidiaries’ senior management teams to

restructure and improve operations nationwide. Emphasis was on applying financial planning and

analysis to a broad range of business problems and devising creative solutions to ensure all

compliance and regulatory requirements were met.

Created and executed comprehensive disposition plans to exit markets in two states,

maintaining the ability to continue marketing existing business by avoiding HIPAA penalties;

plans included exit strategy, federal/state law compliance, and post-exit operations

requirements.

Maximized the company’s cash position: (i.) reduced penalties and fees by over $6 million in

seven states through effective negotiations with state regulators, (ii.) recovered $475,000+

in premiums, while increasing income and reducing RBC requirements by restructuring and

reconciling reinsurance contracts, (iii.) generated nearly $3 million in additional cash flow

and $1.4 million in pre-tax income over 30 months.
