I recently graduated from Blackhawk Technical College with Highest Honors

(4.0, I have 5 years of experience in E-Commerce and am looking to

expand my proficiency as a Web Programmer /Database Manager with

individuals willing to share their knowledge. Prior to attending college, I

started my own e-commerce business using the management skills I acquired

over the years. I have run the company since 2005 including development of

the website. I am looking for a company where I can utilize my education as

well as my professional and military experience in order to complement your

companies IT Department.

. Project Highlights: Developed and maintained business website. This

website was started using a template program through Stores Online. I

enhanced the website by creating HTML within the confines of their

parameters. I taught myself HTML prior to attending college. The research

for search engine optimization (i.e. keyword density, internal and

external linking, website name selection, etc.) and customer retention on

the website was performed using tools like WebCeo and straight search

engine research.

. Project Highlights: www.latino-services.org, Developed website using

XHTML, CSS, and PHP. Consulted client for input on what they wanted on

the website and how they would want to make changes in the future. I

designed and presented a number of different sites for the client to look

over based upon their requirements. During the process, the client was

constantly involved and their input was my main consideration. I also

presented alternatives to some of the features they wanted that would

negatively affected the site for optimized Search Engine efficiency. This

was an internship and I was the sole developer of this project from

conception to implementation.

. Project Highlights: www.blackhawk.edu, Developed Faculty and Staff

portion of website in conjunction with the existing Website. President

Dr. Eric Larson presented me with a proposal to create this website for

BTC in conjunction with the site currently being built by Dream Studios

in Michigan. The project was developed following the specifications and

ideas laid forth by Blackhawk's Future Expansion Idea Committee. The

committee was the final authority for the project prior to Faculty and

Staff Approval and was involved in every step of the process. Using

Firefox add-ons, I color coordinated the site to match BTC's website. I

implemented a database in 3NF using Access and created the site in

ASP.net via Visual Studio 2010 using grid views to display the database

information.

. Technical Environment (Development): Developed using Microsoft Visual

Studio 2010 using ASP.Net and VB.Net, as well as integrating an Access

2010 database for ease of updating the database from the confidential

Oracle Employee Database.

. Technical Environment (Creation): Tested on a local server with a copy of

the current BTC website in play to ensure compatibility with the current

system.

o Blackhawk has not yet implemented this addition. I was recently

consulted by BTC and asked if I would continue in this project by

assisting next year's AITP group on this project as the coordinator

(volunteer).
