Description:
Teradata Application Platform (TAP) is a common development platform and
runtime environment, which enables rapid development and deployment of Web-
based Teradata analytical applications.
The TAP DbMeta lets the application access the metadata about their
customer's warehouse in a programmatic way via the DbMeta APIs. This
metadata is generated by the DbTools (DbFacts and DbEditor) and is stored
in a XML file with a pre-determined schema. This xml file is then loaded
into the TAP tables that every individual application can access using the
APIs.The relational tables will be the central repository of the metadata
and the DbMeta will provide tools that will let users to keep their XML
versions in sync with thecentral repository. TAP-DBMeta provides a user
interface to navigate the tables and columns of the DBMeta objects. The UI
also allows you to view the attributes and edit the display labels and
semantic values. The UI provides an option to update the object in memory,
as well as to save the changes in the DBMeta XML string entry in the TAP
Repository. The design was based on struts framework and GOF's J2EE Design
Patterns.
Responsibilities:
. Involved in design, development of new features, enhancements and
bug fixing.
