Measure Program (RAMP) to ensure counter-terrorist operations. Ensure the Installation
Access Control System (IACS) and Force Protection Level (FPCON) is followed. Main duties
a re to detect and prevent hazards such as theft, fi re, damage, accidents, t respassers,
sabotage, espionage, protect life, and to enforce security regulations of the U.S. Army Natick
Soldiers Systems Center. Trained in advanced vehicle and bag screening with bomb and
explosive device detection cameras and remote control robotics. Conduct searches of engine
compartments, cargo areas, undercarriages, and all components of a motor vehicle. Ensure
Physical Security Plan (PSP) is followed by implementing procedures to deter, detect,
defend, and recover from terrorist threats including Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD).
Work closely with the Department of the Army Police (DOA) in the apprehension and
p rosecution of illegal alien t respassers, drug smugglers, unlawful weapon smuggling,
terrorists, and all unlawful activities. Report incidents to the Department of the Army
Police over two-way radios and take charge of the crime scene until their arrival. Licensed
and certified to use and carry a firearm, expandable baton, OC spray (Oleoresin Capsicum),
and hand cuffs. Qualified under the Massachusetts State Police Weapon Qualifier with
assigned 9mm Beretta. Properly t rained by Contract and Installation regulations under AR
190-56. Ensure adequate security guard support at guard posts and patrol areas of the
i nstallation. Assist the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on the
apprehension of illegal aliens. Control all access of authorized vehicles, pedestrians, foreign
v isitors, contractors, M ili tary personnel, civilians, and visitors coming into the installation.
E nsure the security and protection of the installation's integrated program for major and
secondary Department of Defense i tems that insures the readiness of soldier, chemical, and
b iological systems. Assist Natick Police, Fire, and EMS to the location and description of
emergency situations on the installation. Act as fi rst point of contact to the installation,
answer visitor's questions, allow access to authorized personnel, and deny entry or arrange
for an escort of unauthorized visitors. Verify identification through Common Access Cards,
M ili tary identification cards, badges, automated records, vehicle decals, and verbal
questioning. Work in adverse weather conditions for long periods of time, high auditory
noise levels, motor vehicle fumes, and t raffic hazards.
