services utilizing field instrumentation and an onsite HPGe system. This

Mr. Fluellen managed a New Jersey, EPA approved gamma spectroscopy
laboratory. The initial setup and calibration of the HPGe gamma
spectroscopy system was completed by Mr. Fluellen utilizing Shaw owned
equipment and gamma vision software. Mr. Fluellen also provided training to
laboratory technicians in the proper operations of the equipment and the
analysis of the soil samples collected. Mr. Fluellen was also responsible
for the overall operations of the drying shed utilized to prep soil samples
per procedures outlined by Shaw E&I. When necessary, Mr. Fluellen performed
troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to ensure that the laboratory
consistently produced high-quality data. Final review and data
interpretation was also provided when needed by Shaw E&I.

Mr. Fluellen was responsible for running the Health Physics Count Lab. In
this capacity he was the subject matter expert in gamma spectroscopy for
the Dept. and the designated technician expert for interface with the NRC
&INPO concerning laboratory issues, audits, and evaluations. When new
analytical systems were installed Mr. Fluellen developed the procedures and
protocols used to calibrate, operate and maintain them. Additionally, he
developed the program used for the initial and continuing training of
laboratory personnel.
