Major Accomplishments and/or Responsibilities
Teacher -
PK4-8th Grade Computer Applications
. I created Technology Integrated Lessons often in either - a format
similar to technical instructions or a PowerPoint Presentation.
. I severed on several teams and committees (PTO, SIT, Grant and/or Pilot
Program Lead).
Project Leader -
. I hired and supervised Contract Help, as well as managing both the
Budget and Workflow Scheduling for Engineering Projects, up to
42,000.00 in Capital.
. I was in charge of purchasing Production Equipment. I helped to make
sure that the equipment purchased, and the layout for such, met both
the Customer's Requirements and OSHA standards, for this I conducting
Simulation Studies.
Management (Self-directed Department) -
. Each Designer was given a portion of the Department's Managerial
Tasks. My area of responsibility was that of Workflow Scheduling. I
created an Excel Spreadsheet, which was able to show our current
Workload Status and Backlog, if any, which enabled us to better-
forecast project Completion Dates and when there was likely to be a
real need to hire Temporary Help.
. I helped to establish our department's Summer Internship Program and
then ran the program it's first summer.
Team Leader -
. I worked with the IT Group to re-design of the Engineering
Documentation Database. This included my notion that old data could be
captured, off the old VAX System, to populate some of the new fields.
. I was in charge of Quality Control (Audits) of In-coming Documentation
Packages, from the OEM vendors.
. I help to improve the standard by which Equipment Specifications were
written.
. I gathered, compiled and made the Presentation Graphics of Statistical
Data, I gathered, to help justify Cost Improvement Efforts.
. I helped restructure the Documentation Center's work responsibilities
and trained them to take on these new tasks.
. I help to implement an International Data Transfer FTP Site, and
structuring of a Documentation Change/Check-out System.
. I had a hand in the content and compilation of the Maintenance
Conscience Engineering Manual, for our department's standpoint.
. I helped to Beta-test a new AutoCAD 3rd party overlay software. I was
in direct contact with the developers and other end users. I give
suggestions for improvement to overall functionality (i.e. more job
specific and user-friendly) and I was able to catch programming errors
and have them corrected and re-tested, on the fly.
. I participated in Engineering Studies for the commissioning of New
Production Equipment and Product Lines.
. I helped in the creation and use of New Employee Training Manuals.
Drafter (or other Engineering Exposure) -
. AutoCAD (10 yrs)
Architectural, Civil, Facilities (MEP), Mapping (Geographical and
Utilities), Mechanical (Machine Design - Detail Parts and Electrical (PLC
Controls).
Interior Designer* -
. Major projects included the townhouse for the San Antonio Spurs Coach.
*Note: I am not representing myself to be an Interior Designer. To date, I
have not been licensed, nor would I be qualified for such, at this time.
Yet, this was my title before Texas required the Licensing of Designers.
