the assembly process of hematology equipments

. Conducted simulation training in order to facilitate the

implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles in the assembly

process.

. Conducted Lean Manufacturing training to associates in order to

increase lean awareness among associates and managers.

. Provided coaching and guidance to assembly process supervisors during

the implementation of Lean Manufacturing/Six-Sigma philosophy

. Designed pull systems, flow analysis, cell designs and inventory

reduction initiatives in order to reduce cost, lead time and quality

in hematology and flow Cytometry assembly lines

. Reduced assembly lead time in LH 500 manufacturing lines major sub-

assemblies, and final assembly by 70%

. Improved space utilization in LH 500 manufacturing lines by 62%

implementing an innovative flexible cell design

. Led and Implemented work place organization, 5's and visual system in

the assembly lines in order to simplify material delivery, reduce

point of use inventory, reduce cycle time and eliminate waste from

process stations.

. Developed value stream maps for Hematology and Cytometry assembly

lines including raw materials inventory, work in process, finish good

inventory to identify non-value added tasks and bottlenecks that

increased assembly lead time in order to implement the initiative of

Build to Install.

. Implemented a synchronous manufacturing schedule in the assembly

process of the LH 500 hematology line with 50% lead time reduction in

major sub-assemblies

. Implemented and combined the philosophies of constraint management,

Lean, Six-sigma, Quick response manufacturing and agility into one

synergist manufacturing strategy that led to reduction of cost by

$700,000 a year per assembly line.

. Implemented the principles of working in parallel and quick

changeovers that led to the development and implementation of flexible

manufacturing systems and lead time reductions

. Developed and implemented jigs and fixtures (poka yoke) to avoid

errors in the operations of cutting and assembling of tubing sub-

assemblies.

. Developed and implemented a level load schedule for assemblers to

synchronize the flow of work in process (single piece flow) from

flexible cells to the pace of the final assembly process.

. Determined and implemented point of use kanban inventory levels that

were tied to the continuous replenishment of material from the

warehouse to assembly line to avoid stoppages and shortages

Process Improvement Engineer, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Everett, WA,
