EXPERIENCE:
7/08 to 11/09 CCL Container - Advanced Monobloc Aerosol Division,
Hermitage, PA
Position: Manager of Process Engineering
Responsibilities: Manage process engineering for a nine line
manufacturing facility, addressing production
problems, and improving efficiencies; manage
capital tooling projects; Machine Shop supervision.
This is in addition to and includes all duties as Senior
Designer.
Accomplishments:
. Managed numerous capital tooling projects
simultaneously: delivering quality tooling ahead
of schedule and under budget
. Increased production capability from two to four
lines for our largest customer, on time and under
budget
. Increased production capability from one to three
lines for our Penetang, ON (Canada) production
facility's largest customer
. Established a plant process engineering team
. Developed and implemented a production process
program that allowed us to commercially produce
the first full-body shaped aerosol container in
North America
. General Machine Shop and Tool room guidance and
direction including vendor development, cost
reductions, quality/delivery improvements, and
supervising six Union Toolmakers and two Union
Tool room technicians
4/96 to 7/08 Position: Senior Designer
Responsibilities: Design and detailing of production tooling,
new package development, and plant engineering
support as required to operate a nine line
manufacturing facility; R&D Project management; past
supervision of drafting and design staff. This is in
addition to and includes all duties as Design
Draftsman.
Accomplishments:
. Numerous new package designs used to diversify
product mix and increase our market share (recent
examples include: Snapple Elements bottle; Febreze
Air Effects aerosol; TAG body spray aerosol; Iron
City aluminum beer bottle)
. Developed both neckdown die and slug size
calculation programs
. Extensive shop floor engineering support and
trouble shooting
Numerous redesigns allowing tooling usage across multiple lines
Requisition and testing of all prototype tooling
Specification of all aluminum raw material used in production including
aluminum reduction programs

function as company liaison for effluent testing and system design
requirements of a new waste water treatment plant

parts required to support a seven line aluminum

Reverse engineering of both a snaplock rolling device and a threader
