OBJECTIVE
I have recently lost my job at my previous place of business. I believe with my 8 plus
years of warehouse experience and the numerous jobs and tasks I've done will be a
benefit to any new employer.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Team Lead/Supervisor Backup
May 2008 - March 2010
Newell Rubbermaid Mogadore, OH
Consumer Packaged Goods Manufacturing
Running a crew of 8 to 10 people, backing up supervisor.
In the team lead position I was in charge of a crew of 8 to 10 people who I assigned duties to everyday.
I had a desk with a computer in the warehouse where I used PKMS, Microsoft Word, and OFS. I would get
manifests for loads from the office with load-by times on them. I would instruct the retrievers where
to pull the loads to and then hand out the manifests to the loaders to be worked and
loaded by their specific time. It was also my job to audit pick pallets that came in from
the pickline. I had a cb radio on hand at all time so employees could contact me with any
information or questions. I also covered for the supervisor when he was not in attendance.
This job required me to supervise and give work to 30 plus people. I kept track of their
quotas for the certain job they were doing and reported to the distribution manager.
Distribution Loader
January 2004 - May 2008
Newell Rubbermaid Mogadore, OH
Consumer Packaged Goods Manufacturing
Loading customer trailers with product for orders.
Loading pallets of product on to customer trailers, WALMART/TARGET/etc. This job
required me to be certified on a clamp truck because the product being loaded was off
wood. I would pick up the product from staging bays on the dock and load them on to
many different size and type of trailers. I would use PKMS warehouse mgmt. system to
scan them. This job also included scanning many pallets to make their own individual
shipping label to match their pallet ID. I also had to be extremely accurate when scanning
making sure not miss any pallets when loading them. I had to be a very safe driver too,
working side by side with up to ten different lifts.
Retriever
September 2002 - January 2004
Newell Rubbermaid Mogadore, OH
Consumer Packaged Goods Manufacturing
Retrieving pallets of materials to manufacturing facility or shipping dock.
This job required me to drive a 3 tier propane forklift and navigate through a 1,000,000
sq. ft. warehouse retrieving materials to the manufacturing facility or the shipping dock. I
would use the PKMS warehouse management system. There was a mount for a monitor
on the lift where my scanner would dock. The different materials I would retrieve were
cartons for product, color, labels, unfinished goods to be packaged, and finished goods to
be worked and loaded on trailers.
Picker
January 2002 - September 2002
Newell Rubbermaid Mogadore, OH
Consumer Packaged Goods Manufacturing
Picking individual cartons for customer orders.
I left Brenckle Farms at the beginning of 2002 and began working at Newell
Rubbermaid. Picking was my first position at Rubbermaid. This job involved picking
individual cartons, stacking them neatly on train cars, then driving them to the shrink area
to be wrapped and staged/loaded. I used the PKMS warehouse management system to
scan and organize the cartons. I was certified on a tugger which I would use to pull the
wheeled train cars around the pickline to pick from hundreds of pick locations.
Packing House/Forklift Operator
June 1998 - January 2002
Brenckle Farms Hartville, OH
Agriculture/Forestry/Fishing
Vegetable Farm environment.
I started working at Brenckle Farms part-time in the summer during high school. After
high school I worked there full time for 2 years. When I started this job I worked in the
packing house. This is where the vegetables are brought to straight from the field. I had to
offload trucks of vegetables into water coolers where they were rinsed and cooled. Then I
would stack them on pallets and move them to the cooler to their specific aisle. I also
would get order forms for different supermarkets. I would have to go in the cooler and
pull the orders and load them on trailers using a Forklift.
