Alternative Investments (AI)

Director- Technology Project/Program Manager (2006 - 2010)

Worked with AI senior management to develop strategic and tactical

technology initiatives, with a goal to substantially increase the assets

under management. Started a new group to support various initiatives for

AI. Responsibilities included application systems design, development and

support, providing technology advice, stakeholder communication, annual

technology planning and budget management, meetings coordination, status

reporting, project tracking, risk management, resource planning and

allocation etc., with budget of more than $3M. Business knowledge of Fund

Accounting, Due Diligence processes and Fund Operations processes.

. Completed process of licensing and integrating vendor product PerTrac CMS

and PerTrac Analytics for Due Diligence team for Hedge funds & Fund of

funds. These tools assist fund managers in qualitative and quantitative

analysis of 3rd party fund manager. Some of the tasks: Vendor evaluation

(RFP process), Contract negotiations, Managing UBS cross-functional team

to integrate the product in UBS environment.

. Strategic Automation of Investor Services Subscription (Investment)

Process for AI Investors: Architected, designed and developed platform to

order fund subscription documents and invest via Internet in various AI

products. This automation provided Straight Through Processing (STP). It

resulted in 30% savings, risk mitigation, audit-trail and process

improvements. The development was done using RUP methodology (Iterative)

and J2EE Technology (IBM WebSphere, DB2, JMS, Web services, Spring

framework).

. Development and support of various reports for Investor Services group

and Financial Advisors.

. Developed and taught internal training courses such as Alternative

Investments Concepts.

. Led and completed requirements gathering phase for 2010 initiatives such

as e-delivery of fund documents and usability initiatives for Investor

Services. Started analysis for a number of 2011 initiatives such as

automation of Fund redemption/tender, Capital calls, Transfers,

Partnership Allocation system and Data-mart.

Technical Lead and Architect (1999 - 2004)

. Led and Completed redesign of CEFS One Source website which supports

Stock Options, Restricted Stocks and Stock Purchase Plans for many

Fortune 500 Companies. It is used by more than 800,000 users.
