I am applying for the Purchasing Assistant position posted on this web site
With a College education in purchasing and materials management
From the University OF Phoenix AZ and Coastline Community College Orange
County Ca
North Shore Community College Beverly MA Electronic Theory
What follows is a summary of my over ten years of purchasing experiences
and skills that I have gained by working for various temp or contract
firms.
When not in the Buying office I have worked in a hotel stockroom, (2003-
2004)
Worked for paddock pools from (2004-2005)
* Raw steel stock for Aero Design & Mfg in Phoenix (2007)
* Aircraft Parts and Supplies for both private and commercial aircraft.
(1988 & 2006)
* Electronic Components Blown Glass Parts, and other Electro Mechanical
Components
for Honeywell's Aviation and Industrial Control Div. (1999-2001)( Via
Manpower Prof)
* Machine Gun parts at Boeing (1995) (Via Creative human Resource Concepts)
* Buying electronic components for the communication consoles at Vandenberg
(1984-1985)
* Components for the actual Launch Pad it self at Vandenberg Air force Base
(1985-1986)
* Materials for the manufacturing of Scuba Diving Equipment at US Divers
(1984)
In all of these various contract / temp positions time and time again I
have proven that I can walk into any purchasing desk or (parts desk ) and
perform the task as if I were a full time employee of that company.
In addition I have written an MRP spreadsheet for Excel, and converted the
Nafta Customs form into a linked form for faster data entry creating forms
two and three from entries in the first.
At every company I have been a P O was a P.O only the data entered onto it
was different as well as the supplier name.
Computer Skills
Corridor, AS 400, MS Office, Oracle, Master Trac, MRP, Lotus 123
In addition prior to working in purchasing I spent ten years on the
production floor stuffing and soldering boards, running a test stations and
in production control following the production schedule and chasing jobs
through the line.
So my sense of importance for parts / materials' being there when needed is
much better then most. Because until you work "on the line" you cannot in
my view appreciate what is going on or why the production control person is
having a bad day.
For the past year I have been an unpaid medical caregiver to my mom who had
complications from quadruple bypass surgery in December 08 now recovered.
Below is a list of the various commodities or product lines that I have
supported
Sincerely
Michael Biegon
