#6: Summer Internship
Employer: Pentagram Research Center, Hyderabad
Summers of 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Responsibilities:
Initially started off as an assistant to a researcher from the
organization. My responsibilities included forecasting the Internet traffic
over a period of 3 months every summer. The forecast was performed by going
to various centers of the city and accessing the internet speeds at various
times. The graph showing the speed of the internet vs. time helped in
coming up data that was fed to a NGPC (Neural Generalized Predictive
Control) simulator, developed using Java. This gave the forecasts over the
next 3-6 months and we found out it was almost accurate. I have presented
the same as a paper in the International Conference of Sciences,
Cybernetics and Informatics and earned myself the 2nd best paper award.
ACTIVITIES:
. Participant in various social service activities as a volunteer like
Make a wish foundation (since November 2007) and Vibha (since July
