As senior editor, my duty was to develop CSI's content strategy for publications, live conferences, virtual conferences, and online content
and direct all content-related endeavors. This included blogging, tweeting and writing in-depth analysis of cybersecurity issues for CSI's
flagship monthly publication for security professionals. I also edited and designed CSI publications, and managed both full-time staff and
freelancers. I worked closely with the CSI conference management team, selecting conference speakers, working with speakers on their
presentations, and advising on conference operations and marketing.
This position also required me to serve as an industry expert and conduct original research. I created the CSI Working Group on Web Security
Research Law and authored our inaugural report the only in-depth research yet conducted on the topic. I also researched, wrote and
designed the 2009 edition of the CSI Computer Crime and Security Survey (one of the most widely quoted pieces of cybersecurity research). I
have been interviewed by multiple media outlets, including SecurityFocus.com, DarkReading.com, Federal News Radio and National Public
Radio's The Sound of Ideas. I taught sessions at CSI conferences and other industry events, organized and moderated panel discussions,
and presented a public Webcast to an audience of over 1,800.
