ACCESSCCESS/EXCEL 2003 & VB6 DEVELOPER providing software development, testing,

and project management activities to enhance a variety of software applications for the

following clients:

Pratt & Whitney: Developed eight complex business reports for the EVM ( Engine Visit

Management) system.

• All business reports were designed and developed using Crystal Report 2008.

• The backend data source used was an Oracle 10g database system while using TOAD

software to develop stored procedures and views

• All Oracle tables used in these reports were developed dynamically by writing PL/SQL

stored procedure

• All reports received a single parameter from a Java frontend application to initiate the

execution of the stored procedures.

InSource Consulting LLC:

• Developed internal desktop applications in MS Access to manage the Commission

Reporting System that identify the sales rep commission paid monthly.

• Developed an MS Access application that would collect and store InSource consultant

skills, previous work experiences, and education to match the consultant experiences

with their client project needs.

• For these desktop applications; developed several relationship tables, GUI forms and

queries to control the data, VBA code for updating/inserting data and several reports to

solve different business solutions.

• IT Business Analyst gathering business/system requirements, developing documentation,

and later managing the BigTime product (by Edison's Attic) that maintains and tracks

timesheets, expenses, project/account plans, customers/clients contacts, calls, meetings,

messages and simple reporting needs, which interfaces with QuickBooks accounting

system.

• For additional business reporting needs, developed an MS Access database to link with

BigTime SQL database to produce more complex adhoc and business reports.

Hartford Investment Management Company (HIMCO):

• Provide monthly analytical trend reports (from Wachovia and US Bank data available on

monthly Excel spreadsheet reports) for the Portfolio Manager and Capital Market team to

quickly validate the reporting information for correctness.

• Developed an Access database and main menu screen to import the monthly Excel

spreadsheet, developed a monthly load process for the spreadsheets utilizing VBA code,

and developed series of trend report for business managers.

• Develop and design an Excel menu using VBA macro code to import key reports and

provide the bank operation center with a discrepancy report, by comparing their loan

bank and HIMCO monthly numbers were accurate.

Results: Provide financial tools that improved trend reporting information and bank

validation to facilitate accuracy in management decisions.

Fidelity: Human Resources Service Transformation Data Repository project leader and

developer, converting Excel reporting data into an Access database.

• Working closely with the business client, develop a new Access database system with

relationship database tables, user friendly forms, queries, reports, and VBA code to

import the Excel spreadsheets data source into the database.

• Developed an audit trail log file to identify when certain operations took place, an

error log file to keep track of invalid and corrupt data, and provide business

functions/features to maintain the data and review key reports.

Pratt & Whitney – Work Scope Management: Develop and implement processes to retrieve

and convert supplier manuals to a standard electronic format.

• Gather, review, and document data source for CMM and other types of supplier data

manuals

documents and develop processes to implement them.

• All development work was completed with Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional, ScanSoft

OmniPage Professional 15.0, Word 2003, and Arts Toolbars.

The Hartford Life: Enhance the 5500 Reporting System process by incorporating the new

Schedule “A” Data Fee to assure compliance with federal reporting requirements and other

business reporting needs.

•Utilizing best practice, completed project within a full software development lifecycle by

interviewed business users to develop the business functional requirement needs;

created a project definition package to identify the project scope, assumptions,

deliverables, and system approach; develop a master test plan; established system plans

for deployment, conversion installation plans, major tasks, resource intervention,

scheduling, checkpoints, performance monitoring, rollback plans, and post

implementation verifications.

•All application code was completed with Visual Basic 6.0 as the application front-end and

an Access 2003 database as the back-end.

Results: This highly visible federal regulatory project was completed successfully on-time

and under budget. Execution enabled the company to comply with regulations, and provide

their customers with accurate and available information.

Capitol Moving & Storage Inc., South Windsor, CT

2005 - 2006

VB 6.0ACCESS 2003 DEVELOPER serving as a private consultant design and develop a business

applications to produce mailing labels for customer support, which increase operation effectiveness

and quality.

• Utilizing MS Access 2003, MS Word 2003, and Visual Basic 6.0 as the development tools;

developed a system to replace an existing application system where the results improved

business processes, reliability, performance, and accuracy.

• Design new relationship tables, forms, queries, macros, reports, modules and event procedures

in Access to accomplish the business operation mission.

• The Visual Basic application provide a means to collect the daily transaction information from

multiple text file and formats, and to parse the data before updating the Access application,

while the Word mail merge was execute within Access code to produce the mailing labels.

PRODUCTION ACCEPTANCE COORDINATOR serve in a quality assurance function for the Data

Center Management organization to ensure that all data center production acceptance criteria are

met prior to IT service integration to the data center.

• Primary responsibilities include ensuring smooth transition of IT Services into production and

operational procedure development and procedure certification.

• Support reviews of all systems transitioning to the production environment including

documentation, training and maintenance process.

1989 - 2002

SENIOR APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER / PROJECT LEADER responsible for full project life cycle,

including design, development, implementation and enhancement of numerous mission-critical

applications and systems.

• Develop a new imaging retrieval application in VB 6.0 to replace a costly and poorly performing

vendor application. This application provided the users with a GUI main screen to select their

account and retrieve compliance documents from a DISC jukebox for review and printing. The

new application system was credited with reducing more than $100,000 in license cost, while

expanding the business user base to over 100 throughout 10 departments.

• During Y2K conversion; the Imaging Technology originally maintain on an Informix database was

converted to a SQL Server database, which meant that all the Unix script controlling the Imaging

background functionalities had to be rewritten too. This was accomplished by rewriting the

scripting files with VB 6.0 new application to perform these individual tasks.

• Accredited with over 100 more applications written in VB 6.0 that provided business solutions to

the company’s Record Control, Compliance, Branch Administration, Customer Service and IRA

departments.

• Redesigned a Honeywell database structure and developed solutions for a troublesome

document tracking system which was producing inaccurate reporting information. With this new

design, I incorporated monthly, quarterly, and restricted trading batch reports; provide new real-

time online screens for system security, transaction maintenance to handle batch errors, and

other maintenance support screens.

• Project Manager and technical developer responsible for the Imaging Technology, which consist

of the scanning, indexing, and retrieval functionalities; the storage DISC jukebox and media; the

maintenance and license costs; all the background applications; new software upgrades and

conversions; daily operation schedules, and resolving any problems occurring during the daily

operations.
