Jul. 2010
Title: Web Contractor
This was a short-term contract position in which I did dynamic imaging for
a company called Carousel Designs out of Douglasville, GA. I utilized the
Liquid Pixels technology and prepped room scenes and various bedding,
linen, and d cor items for use on the web. The client had an online tool
where the end-user could go in and try on different fabrics to see what
they liked on baby comforters, crib bumpers, sheets, bed skirts, drapes,
and more. It was my job to make sure the fabrics draped and gathered
properly on the original image, and looked realistic. Liquid Pixels is
similar to Adobe's Scene 7 product in that its end result is beautiful
dynamic imaging.

Title: Asst. Web Producer
In this short-term contract position, I utilized Final Cut Pro as my main
software tool. I converted and compressed digital tapes of television
broadcast news for use on the Internet. I then created thumbnail images for
each story. All pertinent files were loaded via FTP to the server and
corresponding story data was entered into the Content Management System. I
used my sole discretion as to the appropriate order in which the news
stories appeared on the website's Feature Portal.
SHAW, INC.

Aug. 2006 - May 2008
Title: Graphics Specialist
This was a long-term contract position working with the Retail Marketing
team for Shaw Industries, Inc. - specifically, Shawfloors.com. This
position included all types of graphic image management and manipulation.
While I was at Shaw, we launched a newly revamped website containing an
absolutely brilliant new web tool for consumers. The user could simply
upload photos of a room and within a series of simple steps, they could
"try on" different flooring products to see how they would look in their
own home. I was responsible for prepping the flooring images to work
seamlessly in that tool, as well as preparing our own room vignettes using
Adobe's Scene 7 dynamic imaging product to make this online tool work
efficiently. Using ExactTarget, I was involved with our targeted email
campaigns and with getting our online monthly newsletter out to both
consumers and retailers. I also used CSS and HTML to keep our website
content updated - usually while working within the ADX Studio Content
Management System. Other duties included overseeing the product photography
process - ensuring quality control and consistency and maintaining our
image library. Before leaving Shaw, I used Camtasia Studio to fully-
document the process of image prep for our online tool from start to finish
so that people within the department would be able to continue to add new
products to the online image database.
AIRDEFENSE, INC.

Oct. 2005 - April 2006
Title: Web Developer
This was a short-term contract assignment in which I completely re-designed
this company's website in 2005. This was a very involved project as this
major B2B website also contained several "micro-sites" within. I used Adobe
Dreamweaver to create the web pages using a combination of HTML, CSS, Flash
and PHP. I also got to do some video-to-web projects; converting short
videos from VHS format to the web using iMovie. I wore many hats in this
position and also designed presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint as well as
designing marketing collateral items (brochures, product data sheets) for
print using primarily the Adobe Suite of design tools, such as Photoshop,
InDesign, and Illustrator.
KREATIVE BRAIN MEDIA DESIGN HOUSE

1997 - Present
Title: Creative Director / Freelance Artist
I have maintained this freelance graphic and web design business since
1997. I use the Adobe Design Suite of products to design marketing
collateral pieces (brochures, business cards, catalogs) for small
businesses. I primarily utilize Adobe Dreamweaver as well as HTML, CSS, and
Javascript to design "web presence" style sites for my clients. I have
often used open-source PHP / MySQL based software packages (in a LAMP
environment using CPanel for installation and configuration) such as
WordPress, Joomla, PHP Nuke, Drupal, and others to set up functional
websites for my clients depending on their individual needs. Through some
sub-contract work I have done for a colleague in the business, I also have
a working knowledge of setting up these sites for Search Engine
Optimization and in using pertinent plug-ins for some of these packages in
order to achieve and manage keywords, user interaction, social networking,
analytics, etc. Additionally, I have been doing Photography (Product,
Portrait and Stock) for my clients and for Getty Images' iStockphoto.com
for many years.

Atlanta where I worked on MS Access, SQL and Informix database reporting
projects for the department. This position also involved helping to train
store managers on a new time-management system used for tracking employees'
hours and creating their work schedules. Our department provided technical
support for this tool as well.

out on several of their monthly reports in both Lotus 1-2-3 and Microsoft
Excel. Additionally, I put together many PowerPoint Presentations and
supplementing materials. I was also afforded the opportunity to work with
Lotus Notes databases a great deal and received many a training class in
this area - I feel like this was a terrific stepping-stone to my Internet
and Web career, which would come later.
