IBDPR is a population-based system that seeks to promote fetal,
infant, and child health, in order to prevent birth defects and childhood
developmental disabilities, and to enhance the quality of life of affected
Indiana residents. I was involved in the development process of IBDPR
(Indiana Birth Defects Problems registry) system.
Responsibilities:
1. Involved in conversion of the application from VS 2003 to VS 2005.
2. Implementation and maintenance of IBDPR Application.
3. Keep track and follow up of babies with Birth Defects to enhance the
quality of life of affected Indiana residents
4. Responsible in generating Yearly Statistical Reports and Ad hoc
queries.
5. Responsible in generating yearly NBDPN (National Birth Defects and
Problem Registry) Reports for CDC (Center for Disease Control and
Prevention)

Newborn screening/Heel Stick is a blood test usually performed when
your baby is 24-48 hours old. This test is done to detect certain metabolic
and endocrine disorders. The system is designed to keep track of the
affected Indiana babies and follow up with the babies' family.
