Founder and one of the principals of a full service Human Resources

Consulting firm. Responsible for day to day operations and delivery of

consulting services to clients in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky,

Colorado, and Arizona. Services include Strategic Planning, Compensation

Plan Design and Implementation, Workforce Planning, HR Compliance, Training

and Development, Executive Coaching, Organizational Development, and

Performance Management Programs. Clients range from small to mid-size

organizations and projects encompass complete outsourcing of HR to our firm

to specialty projects.

LAUTH GROUP, INC., Indianapolis, IN 2003 - 2009

National commercial real estate developer and construction company with

revenues of approximately $650 million per year and 450 employees.

Vice President, Human Resources

Oversaw strategic planning, benefits, recruitment, compensation and

payroll, employee relations, compliance, training and development,

coaching, on-boarding/orientation, change management, workforce planning,

organizational structure, and succession planning. Managed a budget of more

than $5 million. Led team of ten direct reports. Also directed Office

Services, including all office management of the HQ as well as six other

offices, all national purchasing, front desk services, client guest

services, perks, vending and concierge services, travel, and office

furniture/leases.

. Built HR infrastructure from the ground floor up and hired team to

staff the department.

. Facilitated annual strategic planning at the company and division

levels.

. Saved company more than $500,000 for three consecutive years by

bringing the recruitment function in house, recruiting an average of

95 positions annually.

. Revamped all benefit plans and added additional benefits while still

saving the company over $1 million in costs.

. Instituted a comprehensive pay for performance compensation plan which

included redesigning the performance review, developing goals,

creating new bonus, short term and long term incentive programs and

realigning salaries. Allowed the company to attract, hire and retain

some of the best talent in the commercial real estate development

industry.

. Introduced, customized, and led the nine-month Servant Leadership

Program, which encompassed training sessions, 360 feedback, leadership

development plans, and coaching for three levels of leadership,

including top executives, over a two and a half year period. Servant

Leadership became part of the culture, supervisors were more equipped

to manage their teams and professional development became a core

competency in the company.

. Served as executive coach to top-level management, aiding them with

workforce development and business planning, developing teams, and

teaching leadership and communication skills, organizational

MCKINLEY ASSOCIATES, INC., Ann Arbor, MI 1994 - 2003

National Property Management Company which manages over $2.4 billion in

assets, more than 28,000 apartments, and 6.2 million square feet of

commercial space with 750 employees in 10 states.

Director, Human Resource Development

Led the HR function for the organization and administered a budget of over

$4.5 million. Directed team of 10 direct reports. Oversaw McKinley

University and designed courses as well as instructed courses.

. Designed, built, and led McKinley University. Prior to McKinley

University, the company offered no professional development programs

for associates. Developed a catalog of course offerings and prior to

my departure over 400 associates attended McKinley University.

. Saved more than $500,000 in outsourcing of recruitment, turnover, and

recruitment expenses.

. Created additional revenue stream for the HR department through

consultation and training services with other companies paying to

attend McKinley's training classes.

. Functioned as executive coach, assisting leadership with workforce

development and business planning, developing teams, and instructing

them on better leadership/communication skills, organizational

development, and succession planning.

. Partnered with a local community college to design a maintenance

certification program, which is still an offering at the college
