Design Engineer
Project:
This project is aimed at Design of ATM local switch for TDM network.
ATM is a switching technology based on the fixed length of packets called
"cells". The cells have a length of 53 bytes made of a 5 byte "header"
carrying the routing information and 48 byte payload which can be digitized
voice /video, data or any other type of traffic. The key factor which makes
ATM possible is the ability to build switching devices which will proceed
cells at the extremely high rates required.Ex: At 2Gbps, and ATM link
transmits cells at the rate of 4 million per second in each direction. This
hardware for the Local ATM Switch System consist of Primary MUX,
Synchronizer card, Switch card, ATM Switch card and a general purpose high
and PC for GUI.

. Involved in the Review of Requirements Specification with technical
specialists.

This project was for testing the Subsystem PCB's of a medium range sonar
system with active and passive modes of operation which comprises of
several independent subsystems .Capable of tracking 4 targets each in
active and passive modes simultaneously. Works on dual frequency operation.
Pocessor based monitoring system and DSP chip based reconfigurable
receivers.
