Greetings:

I would like to be considered for the position of Electro Mechanical

Technician with MAU, Inc. to work at the BMW Manufacturing Company in

Greer, SC. My resume is attached for your review.

My education background includes training in electronics and electrical and

my work background spans the fields of engineering, quality assurance,

manufacturing and construction. I have over ten years of experience as an

electronic technician/quality assurance technician and have developed

excellent problem solving and electro-mechanical skills. I know how to use

engineering blueprints, schematics and bill of materials to inspect,

assemble, test and troubleshoot. I know how to set-up, test, calibrate and

maintain equipment. I know how to use most hand and power tools as well as

electronic measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators

and multimeters. "Safety First" is foremost in everything I do. I am

familiar with lock out / tag out procedures. As an electrician's helper, I

have over two years of experience installing boxes, running wire and

terminating wire in panels, switches, receptacles, data outlets and fire

alarms. I also have over one year of experience installing HVAC controls

and wiring. I know how to route, identify and terminate cable. I am

familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel and am comfortable navigating

through software programs. I know the value of maintaining good

documentation. I have provided technical support to internal and external

customers, dealt with customers to resolve their complaints and monitored

vendors regarding nonconformance issues to ensure resolution of those

quality issues. My attention-to-detail nature and desire for a quality

product/service would make me a good candidate for the Electro Mechanical

Technician position.

JOB TARGET: ELECTRO MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

SKILL SETS & CAPABILITIES:

. Run control wire for HVAC equipment and terminate control boxes,

thermostats, duct detectors, air handler units, roof top units and

heat pumps.

. Install EMT conduit (1/2" and " mostly) using pipe bender to route

pipe as necessary.

. Pull wire, identify circuits and terminate wire in main and branch

circuit panels.

. Using blueprints install lights (fluorescent fixtures, strip lights,

wall sconces and ceiling chandeliers) as well as boxes for switches,

receptacles, data outlets and fire alarms where specified.

. Monitor quality issues of work and material at off-site locations,

identifying and addressing problems occurring at various nationwide

installation sites (for Federal Government contract).

. Tracking and documenting incidents affecting cost and schedule,

thereby assuring timely management response.

. Contacting vendors regarding nonconformance issues and monitoring

those issues to ensure prompt resolution of all quality issues.

. Interface with customers to resolve their concerns and complaints.

. Perform site audits, supplier audits and internal product / process

audits (ISO 9000 system).

. Perform database analysis and prepare reports for management,

engineering, and/or customers documenting results.

. Perform reliability and life tests.

. Construct special test fixtures and set up automated test equipment.

. Perform failure analysis (troubleshooting to component level) on

prototype units, production units and/or customer returns.

. Perform incoming inspection for components and assemblies.

. Maintenance of calibration program and a Statistical Process Control

program for manufacturing.

. Manage an Engineering Lab with 6 technicians - planning, scheduling

and budgeting manpower, materials and equipment to assure timely

completion of multiple projects.

. Coordinate the efforts of engineering, manufacturing and manufacturing

engineering during the transition of product from prototype run to

production run, including the training of operators.

. Prepare and run design of experiments to identify and resolve problems

encountered in the product development process.

. Verification testing of software/embedded firmware, documentation of

discrepancies, collaboration with design engineer team to troubleshoot

identified discrepancies - all to ensure a quality product.
