of ultrasonic welding and cleaning equipment. Instrumental in merging the
welding and cleaning divisions into one organization. Responsible for
global supply chain management. Chairman of the ERP/MRP product choice and
implementation committee. Reduced inventory 50% and increased turns by a
multiple of 3. As manager of the purchasing organization I was responsible
for purchases of over $75,000,000.00 per year and achieved procurement
cost reductions of over $25,000,000.00.
Norco Inc. Director of Materials 1981-1986.
Norco Inc is a major supplier of locking, holding, and power transmitting
equipment to the aerospace, military, and power industries. I was
responsible for all material management functions which included, world
wide inventory management, stores, production control, and purchasing.
Also, responsible for multiple locations and off shore manufacturing
facilities. Implemented MRP systems which dramatically increased
production, increased production capacity, reduced inventory, and increased
margins.
