module manufacturing bought by Solectron from Cisco. Responsibilities

included transition of Business from West Columbia to Charlotte. Integrate

and establish Business unit into Solectron processes and systems. Establish

Business Model and P&L from break off of over all Cisco Optical Business.

Maintain Quality and on time deliveries during transition. Maintain;

establish re-define organization to meet ever-changing needs and demands.

Introduce new product during transition. Introduce Solectron Charlotte to

the practices and processes of optical assembly, procedures introduced site

wide to meet customer optical expectations for performance and acceptance.

Experience: Pirelli/Cisco Systems Inc. - West Columbia, S.C. -

Manufacturer of DWDM optical modules and systems for long haul

telecommunications.

* Oct '95 to May '01 - Manufacturing/Materials Manager - In my

tenure with Cisco (formerly Pirelli Optical Systems Group),

responsibilities included Managing Manufacturing, Master Scheduling,

Production Planning (Planner/Buyers) and Inventory Control functions.

Directed all Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving and Import/Export operations.

Accomplishments include Core team member of three separate ERP

implementations (BPCS, SAP, and Oracle), establishing processes that

optimize systems and people to meet organizational objectives. Established

Cycle count processes in both warehousing and manufacturing operations.

Developed and implemented Kan Ban and point of use processes that optimize

material flow and accuracy. Created processes for capturing serialization

data. Steering team member for facilities ISO 9002 compliance. Developed,

hired and trained Materials/Manufacturing organizations to meet and exceed

Configured Bill structure for ease of forecasting, Order Entry and Customer

flexibility, which supported the overall production plan. Initiated KanBan

and JIT techniques that increased inventory turns from 1 to 10 in the first

year and a half after go live. Established departments operational

procedures for the integration of ISO - 9000.
