Overview:
I have over forty=five years of experience in the aerospace industry
helping land men on the moon, testing ICBM components, creating some of the
original PC operating systems, and running large complex computer
installations. I am looking for part-time or contract technical writing
assignments. I can do a minimum amount of travel for fact-finding and
research, but I prefer to work from my home office.
Computer Languages:
Fortran, Basic, Cobol, C, NASTRAN, LabView, DCL, DOS, Windows 3.1-XP,
Novell, RSX11M+, VMS, Unix, Linux, ModComp, FoxPro, Assembly, ProLog,
Forth, HTML, Front Page and developed a machine language compiler and
assembler during the early days of the Intel chips before there were
standards.
Engagements:

firm specializing in business Re-Engineering, conversion of dissimilar
computing systems, and process automation.
Projects include:
. Transition from a poorly documented WhiteHat VAX Basic business,
manufacturing, and test application to an HP3000 ManMan implementation.
. Automation of complex electronic testing using LabView for data
acquisition and Excel spreadsheets for reduction, analysis, and
plotting.
. Installation of a Windows 95/NT network using TCP/IP protocol to a WAN
via dedicated 56K Frame Relay link.

department budgets, and recruited, trained, and supervised tutor staff. I
monitored systems for virus intrusions and inappropriate Internet use.
Engineer, General Electric Company for 26 years at several locations on the
east coast. Worked in Design, Test, Manufacturing, Drafting, and Quality
departments on projects ranging from facilities construction to high
reliability space flight components.
