Employment History
1991 - Present Currently, divisional President of MSC, which is a
division of Alabama Specialty Products (ASPI). We
constitute 30 of the 250 employees at ASPI and share
resources with 3 other divisions. We are a manufacturing
facility whose focus is on internal corrosion monitoring
products used in the oil, gas, and chemical process
industries. I initially joined the company as a lab
technician doing post exposure analysis on corrosion
monitoring coupons. I also held positions in quality and
sales prior to being promoted to management. I was
promoted to President in April of 2002 and have held
that position since that time. Under my tenure the
company has experienced record growth with stream lined
production, improved products and improved customer
relations. My daily operations require balance between
product management, engineering, design, order
realization, and shop floor management. I also train and
certify customers on the use of our products and
equipment.
1990 - 1991 Hired as an Anniston City police officer in March of 1990 and
completed Alabama Peace Officer and Standards Training at
the Northeast Alabama Police Academy. Served as a patrolman
and dealt with all aspects of law enforcement.
1981 - 1990 Served in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate.
Highest watch qualifications: Engineering Watch
Supervisor and Shipboard Leading Engineering Laboratory
Technician. I completed Naval Nuclear Power School
Orlando, Florida in 1982. I completed Naval Nuclear
Power Training Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1983. Upon
graduation from Nuclear Power School, I was selected as
a Staff Training member and trained personnel in the
mechanical operation of a Naval Nuclear Plant from 1983
to 1986. My training platform was A1W. In 1986, I
attended Naval Engineering Laboratory Technician School
(ELT) and graduated as an ELT. From 1986 to 1990, I was
stationed onboard USS Mississippi CGN40. As a mechanical
watch stander, I stood watches on steam driven equipment
and ran a variety of auxiliary equipment in support of
Engine Room operations. As an ELT, I maintained all
water chemistries and radiological controls associated
with the operation of a Naval Nuclear Reactor powered
ship. As a Damage Control Team Member, I trained
personnel on casualty control during battle damage
simulated exercises.
