Manager of HR&D applications in Shared Services. Interfaced with
business partners, management, and vendors and led a team of
developers, analysts, contractors, offshore and non-direct
infrastructure, QA, and rollout associates. Oversaw end-to-end
management, including strategic direction, project plans and
estimates, compliance, full SDLC and application support. Participated
in gap analysis, conceptual product design, workflow process, data
modeling, screen layouts, SQL procedures, etc. Applications used
included Java, Oracle, MF DB2.
o Developed a new online solution for the hiring and qualification of
Financial Advisors. Assembled and led a team responsible for the
development, implementation and ongoing support of the new
application.
o Responsible for managing the firm's platform for Learning and
Development, which consisted of online, instructor- led training
curriculum, and compliance certifications. Upon taking over,
implemented a one-year plan to stabilize the application to
maturity. In 2009 successfully managed the upgrade of the learning
platform from Saba 3.5 to 5.4 including database migration,
interface development, web service deep links, installation,
configuration, and infrastructure design.
o Developed an application to manage strategic deals and structures
related to hiring of Financial Advisors.
o Developed a CRM like application to support Retention and Talent
Management. Application is a one-stop shop portal that captures and
provides all personal, financial, legal, team and risk information
to branch management.
o Responsible for the consolidation and transformation of multiple
data sources into composite federated data services.

Member of a project team that implemented K-12 online testing software
for the state of Maryland. Responsible for managing the application
development and all aspects of the SDLC; provided technical leadership
for a team of 12 developers and business analysts.
o Successfully delivered the application on time and within budget.
This is the first implementation of the K-12 application extended
from a generic data model.

Worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies providing technology and
business process improvements, including performing requirements
gathering, gap analysis, process reengineering, product selection,
product implementation, IT strategy, assessments and proposal writing.
International assignments in South Korea, UK, Dominican Republic and
Ireland. Notable engagements include:
o Bayer Pharmaceutical Biological Products w/WCI Int'l: Member of a
team that implemented solutions to improve lab effectiveness that
met or exceeded cGMP CFR 21 compliance with business justification
for each recommendation.
o Aventis Pharmaceutical, Diamler Chrysler, and SBC Communication:
Member of project management teams that implemented global web
based expense management systems. Applications used: Concur 6.0.
o Korea Land Corporation: Worked with a team of US and Korean
analysts to assess and develop a new strategy for the MIS
organization and infrastructure for KOLAND, a Korean government
division responsible for land development projects.
o Metropolitan Life: Designed the rules and plans for a single sign-
on authentication portal. Used case methodology with Rational UML
to analyze business requirements, object development, process
workflow, business rules and user interfaces.
o Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and Petco Animal Products: Managed
analysis of the PeopleSoft architecture. Areas of analysis and
improvement included server architecture, database restructuring,
operating policy and procedures.
o Impath Labs: Developed and implemented a fault tolerant server
architecture for the national medical oncology lab. Set-up a five-
year IT budget, process and support organization. HP/ServerGuard
o KPMG Consulting: Coordinated efforts in developing a prototype for
evaluating loan portfolios. The concept maximized portfolio
returns by pricing loans based on financial risk ratings [scores],
market conditions and economic factors.
o Banco Nationale: Performed IT assessment and developed strategy for
a CRM implementation in the Dominican Republic. Analysis of
operations included on-line banking, credit card and insurance.

Systems Integration/Application Design and Development
o Ported the Windows GreenLeaf library to UNIX with a set of core
API calls. The enhanced library allowed Xmodem, Ymodem, Zmodem, and
other serial interfaces to communicate over X.25 and TCP/IP
protocol layers. Designed an application layer to monitor and
manage all messages from the Solaris/AIX server and client
workstations.

o Lead/Architect for the design and development of an integrated
workstation based on real time controls and Image Processing.
Technology based on Datacube's Max Video 20 or ITI's 15040 Image
Processors, operating in a UNIX like real-time kernel fromVxWorks
and MC860 DSP(s) backend algorithm processors.
o Developed the prototype of a Missile Tracking System for a major
defense company utilizing image processing concepts: C/C++, Motif,
Embedded UNIX on Single Board Sun Sparc, VxWorks, pSOS, Socket
communication.
o Participated in a road show to market concepts to manufacturing
companies for improving Quality Control processes. Demonstrating
the capabilities of on-line inspection during manufacturing
resulted in numerous demos and proposals to companies such as Sony,
Buckbee Mears, UPS, American Natl Can and AT&T. One such proposal
was made at the Oakridge National Lab in partnership with 3M to
assist textile manufactures to find web manufacturing defects.
o Without customization, the imaging workstation was configured to
develop a GaAs wafer Inspection Tool for AT&T Bell Labs. The nearly
17K images from a 3.5-inch wafer reduced inspection time from 4
weeks to less than one hour.
IBM, East Fishkill, NY
1989-1990
Systems Integrator/Application Design
o Developed a prototype for capturing 3D images using a single line
camera. The concept developed by IBM Research was used for testing
imperfections during manufacturing by analyzing images using
segmentation methodology. The prototype utilized image processing
VME modules from Datacube running in a UNIX and real-time embedded
vxWorks environment. All programs were written in C with a real-
time kernel from vxWorks.

o Technical Lead for highway toll system projects; The Korea Seoul-
Incheon Highway and the Ireland East-Link Toll Bridge. Responsible
