PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
I am a strong articulate, customer-focused and service oriented retail
professional possessing solid skills in leadership, marketing, problem
solving, team motivating, and team building, with strong written and verbal
communications. I believe that advertising simply gets customers to our
door. It's my role as manager to foster a customer focused, welcoming
atmosphere with my staff to not just get a customer, but to have that
customer become a repeat customer that advertises the quality of our
services to their friends and acquaintances.
Naturally a "people-person" who is a "hands-on" manager, I constantly
evaluate, train and monitor my staff. My aim is to have them exceed both
my own and their own expectations. As my staff become more comfortable in
their role, I allow them to demonstrate their full potential and involve
them in the innovation and problem solving that is necessary to help the
company to grow.
I am most proud of having the reputation of being known as the person to
get the job done right the first time and exceeding expectations. My depth
of knowledge of the banking industry, and working in all facets of the
industry, has given me a balanced perspective on the integrity with which
it must operate.
Key Attributes
. Self Motivated - A job is not just a job. I approach my job as if I
own the business. I don't feel that I have been successful unless the
business thrives.
. Natural Leader - I lead by example. I'm the first in the door in the
morning and the last to leave at night. I am an experienced decision
maker and have been frequently complimented on my poise under
pressure.
. Customer Focused - My customers get treated the same way I like to be
treated as a customer. Going the extra mile for a sale delivers more
than just that sale. It creates good will and then that customer
becomes a positive ad for the business.
. Delivers Sustainable Improvements - No business is perfect. I have a
common-sense approach to processes and deliver sustainable
improvements when I find a process that is not as efficient as it
could be.
. Inclusive Management Style - The most valuable commodity any company
has is its staff. They are the face of the business. I involve my
staff in the way the business is managed so that they gain the
confidence to excel in their performance.
. Commitment to Excellence - Integrity and Pride are hallmarks of my
work ethic. I am a true Ambassador for the company I work for, and a
mentor for the staff I work with. I don't just "talk the talk", I
"walk the walk". Rhetoric doesn't grow a confidence. Only actions
do.

January 1981 - June 2005
Vice President - Branch Operations Officer/Asst. Branch Manager/Branch
Manager
. Dedicated 24.5 year loyal history with one bank starting as a Teller
and culminated in becoming Manager of the largest branch in the
region. This experience has made me proficient with all aspects in
the retail banking environment regarding bank products, services, and
procedures.
. Given responsibility for establishing an audit team of "excellent"
rated branch managers within my region to monitor and develop ways in
which "non satisfactory" branches would become "excellent" rated
within their next formal audit. This "Audit Team of Peers" then
performed friendly audits of their surrounding branches in region and
raised all audit ratings to satisfactory, or higher, by their next
audit.
. I was also in charge of scheduling the random audits, designing the
methods with which we audited all branches, and establishing new
systems for the on-going monitoring of information.
. Served as a leader and mentor by exhibiting professionalism and being
operationally sound and preserving the integrity of the audit
processes. Develop and introduced improvements in record keeping for
the region that reduced errors through a more structured checking
process.
. Maintained a continuous operations audit rating of excellent while
responsible for the banking center.
. Dramatically changed and put processes with an audit team which
manages to alter the audit integrity of non satisfactory rated
branches to an excellent rating within 2 months. I achieved this by
establishing a network of peers within each branch in the region to
support each other in the audit process.
. Continually monitored the operations of the banking center to ensure
compliance of regulations and bank policies and procedures.
. Developed and introduced a Centralized Procurement program for my
district that lead to significant savings and efficiencies.
. Strong leadership abilities with proven track record in increasing
sales in deposits, investments, and loans while maintaining positive
teamwork
. Developed leadership qualities and motivated staff that were not
meeting sales goals to exceeding their sales goals within one quarter.
This lead to one Branch becoming profitable within 9 months of
opening, exceeding expectations by 9 months
. Managed all Human Resources issues professionally, confidentially, and
timely. Responsible for employee hiring, goal building, and
performance evaluations while maintaining high level of customer
service expectations. Administered staff evaluations, sales
development plans, career development training, new hire interviews
and disciplinary actions.
. Acquired Group 1, Series 6 and Series 63 Licenses and exceeded
expectations with over 2 million in investments, mutual funds, and
annuities during first year of licensing in a low income area when
this concept was new to the banking industry. I have also handled
Home Equity Loans, and CD Secured Loans and I am proficient performing
inspections for Interim Financing of new Mortgage Loans/Financing.
. Maintained expenses below budget by analyzing the past history and
projection of the future forecasts of new products and process changes
. Member of elite "Gold Club" by exceeding goals for 3 consecutive
quarters of the year consistently, also becoming Employee of the
