. Consultant, ManagedNet Inc. - Garden grove, CA. - 7/25/2009 - Current

ManagedNet Inc. is a small consultancy in Northern Orange County that has

been serving a small core of clients (339 workstations, 34 servers) for

many years. My current role is providing full operational support for most

clients while I also develop systems, operational plans, and documentation

for a wide range of technologies, both internally and for our clients. More

specifically we have been working in the areas of virtualization (primarily

VMware ESXi and Microsoft's Hyper-V) and numerous aspects of utilizing

virtualization from server technology to deployments in zero-client

environments (i.e., Pano Systems), local and remote hosting of services,

local and remote backup and disaster recovery, distributed management

tools, remote management, service, and support, and publishing

opportunities.

Most recently I am developing the framework, based on WordPress 3.0, of a

trio of websites specifically designed to service the Managed Services

industry. The sites are designed to incorporate internally developed

material, targeted guides and information for MSPs and those seeking MSPs,

aggregate news sources from around the world, and bring social networking

tools to this market. Projections based on conservative estimates indicate

that it could be generating upwards of $100,000 per year in advertising

revenue by late 2011.
