Sr. Systems Analyst

Team lead on the Valuation Pricing and Trading System and the Fund

Performance System in this large Financial Services company. These are

critical systems which required daily dedication and a sense of urgency.

This job required the ability to think quickly and resolve problems

quickly, both on new projects and existing production support. Involved

with both major IT projects and daily enhancements.

Analysis, Development, Testing, and Implementation on the following

projects:

- Fund Number Expansion (affecting every system in IT) - very

large

- Adding a new data gathering and processing system to Retirement

Services - very large

- Updating the content and format of all mutual fund trading files

- Creating a trade cancellation process through NSCC - medium

working closely with the business partner. The technology used was VB

5.0, SYBASE database, Rapid SQL and Crystal Reports.

. Led a complete data base conversion. Wrote all stored procedures and

scripts to create new tables, modify existing tables, and convert

existing data to current specifications, which the team was dependent on.

Project went in on time allowing executive management to be able to see

what projects were being worked on and what progress was being made.

Sr. Programmer Analyst Contractor

. Coded Computer Telephony Integration system using Visual Basic 5.0 and

used an Oracle database. Developed and implemented several stored

procedures in Oracle, allowing the company to make calls easily and

increase new business.

. Worked on a Reporting system written in SQL SERVER, C, ORACLE, and Visual

Basic. Used mostly DBARTISIAN as a third party Oracle utility to convert

database data into flat files and then reload onto Oracle. Involved

writing both embedded SELECT statements and calls to SQL SERVER stored

procedures used by participants working on the system.

Sr. Programmer Analyst

. Sr. Programmer Analyst on large team to create two new workstations -

Life Health workstation and Sales Illustration workstation. Coded these

workstations in Visual Basic, C, EASEL, Microfocus Cobol, QMF, and SQL.

Both jobs included analysis, design, development, testing, and

implementation. Worked closely with other areas to define database

requirements involving a great deal of customer interaction. The

implementations of these systems gave agents the ability to easily and

accurately supply customers an illustration of what their investment

might look like with a very positive effect on sales.

. Project Lead for new platform for all workstations representing the

workstations for Technical Support Area and IBM. Involved bringing

together IBM programmers, workstation programmers, real-time programmers,

and Computer Science programmers and meeting a deadline. The technology

needed to keep track of included visual parts, non-visual parts, MQ

Series on p.c. MQ Series on the host, and performance timings. Researched

and wrote all requirements which were used as final summarization of

entire project. Implemented new platform for all workstations with

minimal fall out.
