Worked mainly as a construction manager, an estimator and a project manager. September ‘96 to May 2001 CONSTRUCTION MANAGER/ESTIMATOR; FIGGINS SAND AND GRAVEL, BOZEMAN MT. Estimate, project manage and supervise earth working projects. Was responsible for all equipment and crews. The projects were located in southwest Montana lasting from one day to three years under budget and on time. Estimated costs for an active gravel pit. Estimated costs for a trucking fleet. Bid and negotiate jobs and material contracts averaging $3million a year in revenue. All bids were done on a Quest estimating computer system. Specialized in government armed forces work including large aircraft hangers, storage building, research laboratories, test ranges, BEQ’S and family housing. Bid commercial jobs including large hotels, ski lodges, schools, churches and high end homes. Assisted architects and engineers in design and value engineering. Worked with Timberline Estimating System including cut and fill earthwork system and American Metal Building design and price. The project management done on ACT including cost evaluation and time scheduling to help the projects to be kept up to date and on time. Trained and worked with AutoCAD Release 10 and Star/CEO Metal building design and pricing program. Work correspondence with Word Perfect and Lotis for contracts, purchase orders and accounting. Constructed and priced for contracts, purchase orders and accounting. Constructed and priced Change orders with subcontractors, architects, owners and developers.
