Implement a complex multi-site Active Directory forest utilizing Windows

and migrate from Exchange 2000 through Exchange 2010. Maintain network and

assisting transition to Valcourt standard applications and practices.

Oversee technical support teams in all 12 branch offices and provide

technical expertise and mentorship to IT support groups both on site and

remotely.

Key Achievements:

. Secured significant savings by virtualizing and consolidating the

Exchange, Accounting, and Estimating environments using VMWare ESX to

reduce the number of servers required while ensuring hardware failover

via SAN and VMotion for virtual servers.

. Pioneered the company-wide network migration from individual remote PCs

in each office to a fully meshed WAN under an Active Directory forest

along with access to legacy in-house systems from a multi-user

environment.

. Established complete employee monitoring with SpectorSoft's Spector 360

system, and fulfilled CEO-requested web controls through Fortinet

firewalls and a FortiManager system with specific exemptions for

executives and sales managers per approval.

. Enabled remote accessibility and national functionality for a secure user

network by incorporating mobile broadband cards, Citrix, Remote Desktop,

Outlook Anywhere, and VPNs.

. Managed the integration of the Florida branch acquisition and established

Valcourt standard policies and practices while migrating their existing

from Exchange 5.0 to 5.5 and continued to manage the Exchange environment.

Administered the internal website as well as administered remote access via

Citrix, modem and VPN connections using Tektronix's proprietary WinDD

product that enabled full utilization of the Microsoft Office suite from

Unix workstations. Deployed and managed Systems Management Services (SMS)

for application deployment and inventory collection. Collaborated with

Microsoft server developers and diagnostic engineers to resolve a dual

processor issue with Windows NT 4.0 SP2.

. Proposed the "Network Logon" dialup connection function which is still

available today in Windows 7 to the head of the Microsoft Windows user

interface development team before Windows NT 4.0 was finalized.
