NACE Coating Inspector Training: Oil & gas coating application and
offshore equipment, safety procedures, surface preparation of structural
steels. Bridge inspections and shop inspection on coatings application
with reference to specified standard, material selection, anchor profile,
coating scheduling and scope of work, QA/QC on all coating jobs, documented
and pre-cleaning of surface prior to blast cleaning, familiar with NACE,
SSPC, ASMT & ISO standards, pipeline coating and corrosion control
techniques, pipeline integrity. Cathodic protection, corrosion mitigation
and design.
Quality Coating Inspector - Quality control on coating applications, such
as tank vessels valves and subversive pumps, marine equipment projects.
Performed basic measurements to maintain quality control. Undertake simple
coating inspection work on structural steel, on site. Read and understand a
coating specification, offshore equipment, risers and ROV for surface
preparation and coating application, use inspection equipment for basic
quality control, including but not limited to: Sling psychomotor and
weather tables, (WFT) gauges, hypothermic needle pressure gauge, magnetic
pull-off DFT gauges, electromagnetic DFT gauges, high DC holiday detector
etc.
