SUMMARY
I am a computer programmer/analyst with over 23 years of solid programming
experience and a talent for translating dense, technical information into
simple language for end users and non-technical people. I am equally
comfortable designing, writing code and implementing software applications
and training customers. My experience spans IBM mainframes to UNIX servers.
At Sun Microsystems, I coordinated a complex data ware house project,
installed, configured and managed a Sun E10K System, developed and assisted
in the redesign of a web based case management system using java and Oracle
8i and sustained the legacy application across five continents. At Activant
Solutions, I designed and developed an ETL application in java for data
conversion purposes. As a consultant for the State of Hawaii, I designed
the enforcement piece of the Hawaii Child Support System. I led user
meetings to determine requirements, design the enforcement types and
actions and translate those requirements into a technical document using
development case tools. I have a passion for working directly with
customers, probing to understand their needs, and finding creative
solutions to meet them. I have developed an expertise in liaising with a
diverse group of technical and non-technical personnel internationally. I
am a US citizen.
