December 2005
Worked on a team of four students to redesign a database program in Access
that tracks services provided to each client of the Stow Council on Aging.
Analyzed the current system, gathered requirements needed for the new
system, designed a user friendly interface and coded using Visual Basic.
Wrote a user manual and conducted training sessions for the volunteers at
the Stow Council on Aging. Gave a Power Point presentation of the new
system for the director and head volunteers. (3 course equivalent)
Junior Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP), May 2004-July 2004
Worked on a team of three in a stock market simulation. Researched three
different ways of investing money in the market. Invested fake money into
a stock and tracked its progress. Assessed the many risk factors involved
with investing money in the market and found ways to decrease the risk of
monetary loss. (3 course equivalent)
