Project Description
Investment Reporter (IR) application is a web application that generates
multi-product monthly & quarterly reports for banks' investors clients,
who are specifically set-up in the system for reporting. The underlying
database of IR gets performance, characteristics and commentary data
from various internal and external data sources. This data is received
from business partners, other internal systems and from third party
sources as well. Data is uploaded to the database using both manual
and automated feeds. Manual database upload is done either using
web-based tools or direct upload by the technology partners using Excel
macros typically. These reports are also archived and made available for
reference, historical reporting and compliance purposes. The reports are
generated in pdf format. Investment Reporter application features are
enhanced every year with new facilities for the clients.
Fund Fact Sheets (Marketing One Pager) Enhancements project is
being launched in an effort to accommodate NT growing Defined
Contribution business and the need to provide participant Fund Fact
Sheets. Currently, Fund Fact Sheets are being produced manually by
the NTGI Reporting Team. This development effort would automate the
process of creating Fund Fact Sheets for NT Defined Contribution
Product/Fund offerings. Testing effort involved automating the testing
script to generate fund factsheet based on the product category and the
product of the fund. Various front-end screens and backend data load
components were tested for functionality and correctness of the fonts,

products into a single access point which will greatly minimize the
training effort, operational effort, development effort and
inconsistencies across the various products related to viewing and
Project Description running reports while increasing the available functionality. The
project consisted of about 700 test cases. About 80% of the test
cases related to front end testing were automated using QTP. The
backend database objects and components were tested manually.
About 400 accounts were created as test data and inputted as testing
parameters to the online report generation system.
