Qualifications:

Mr. Chung has 17 years of knowledge and expertise in SUN Solaris

Administration. He has extensive Sun Solaris experience, including

assisting customers with selection of Sun servers, storage, and Sun product

training, installation, integration, and troubleshooting.. He supervises

and manages the daily activities for the daily operation and administration

of SUN Solaris, Linux servers, Mac, VMware and NT Servers in

Heterogeneous Operating System environment on a 24x7 availability schedule.

He is also familiar with quality concepts, ISO 9000 requirements He has

strong customer service experience with and troubleshooting skills. He is

looking for Sr. Systems administrator position.

As a Senior Systems Administrator for Lockheed Martin (Sentinel Program)

(November 2008 to Present),

UNIX Team Lead responsible for providing technical leadership for Lockheed

Martin and Sub-contractor UNIX Administrators supporting over 250+ physical

and virtual Solaris 10 servers in a Highly Available (HA) architecture.

Responsible for the installation and operational support for hardware

valued over seven million dollars which make up the classified

infrastructure systems, development, software integration and pre-

production environments, as well as support the customer's production

sites.

Installed and maintain over 100 Sun SPARC T5240/5220/2000 and X86 6450/4150

hardware platforms residing in a 4000 sf data center.

Configure systems form ilom through jumpstart of the Control Domains, run

custom scripts to allocate and provision system resources for Logical

Domains. Create zpools and zfs file systems to support and house those

domains.

Developed and implemented backup and restore procedures and custom scripts

for performing snapshots of all logical domains. Perform system

restores/rollbacks as requested.

Primary technician for over 20 E25K domains, supporting eight oracle 10G

databases. Perform hardware and software troubleshooting and administration

that included system back-ups

Built, configured and administer multiple SunRay thin client servers, which

provide Soaris 10 and Windows VM Access to over 500 total users.

Installed and deployed Sun Identity manager 7.1 for UNIX user account

creation and provisioning. Add systems as resources, creating hardware

roles and provisioning over 250 users to applicable roles. Perform regular

user account maintenance including adding groups, assigning permissions to

RBAC roles and resetting of passwords.

Built, and deployed multiple Sun Connection Servers (SCS) for the

development facility and production sites, which provided advanced Solaris

OS and firmware patch management. This permitted simultaneous patching of

all systems and allowing centralized path administration, system file

updates and custom script deployments. Upgrade servers to Sun's next

generation patch management system, Virtual Operations Center (xVMOC/OC)

Author of peer-reviewed, deliverable documentation on new system builds,

application deployments, troubleshooting guides and new account creation.

Created NAS shares on EMC Celerra NS80G providing a required higly

available solution to environment applications.

Create and assemble weekly presentation for senior management, including

team metrics, which include system outages, milestones, status of all

tickets, and overall environment health and brief.

As a Senior Systems Administrator for CSC (DITC Program) (July 2006 to

November 2008), Mr. Chung supervises and manages the daily activities for

the daily operation and administration of Defense Technical Information

Center (DTIC) Web, data, Oracle, and development servers. He installs,

configures, and maintains UNIX servers in support of DTIC-Z Web development

ranch in addition to numerous Secretary of Defense mandated DoD Websites.

He assists with emerging technologies, including virtual server

environments, LAN storage, Web Services, and LDAP. He performs

installation, provisioning, maintenance, and problem resolution of Storage

(SAN/NAS) platforms (EMC, NetApp). Mr. Chung configures and maintains

NetApps filers for file sharing to over 300 servers and configures BigIP

Load Balancing and DNS. He maintains UNIX scripts for the purpose of

performing daily systems administration tasks and automatic remote

publishing capabilities for FTP users to update both developmental and

operational Web sites. He performs server backups and restores, software

installs, and machine/network configuration. He optimizes system operation

and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and

planning. He researches and recommends server hardware and software

acquisitions.

As a Senior Systems Administrator for Lockheed Martin (ITA NISO Program-

Pentagon) (2001 to July 2006), Mr. Chung maintained over 200 Sun Solaris

and Hewlett Packard Unix servers, 40 NT and 12 Linux servers in

Heterogeneous Operating System environment on a 24x7 availability schedule,

including unclassified, classified, and top secret/SCI systems. He

developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions that

significantly contributed to certification for International Organization

for Standardization (ISO). Mr Chung provided application support (Remedy,

Oracle, NetCool, CiscoWorks, EpiCenter, EnPortal, and HP Openview, SecurID,

Tarantella). He also planned and implemented a central user information

and authentication database with SunONE LDAP and SecurID. He implemented

and administrated Tivoli as a backup/restore solution. Mr Chung performed

all aspects of system maintenance, including complete OS installations,

jumpstart server builds, upgrades, patching, applying security

configurations per DoD security requirements, DNS configuration, hardware

installation, capacity planning/management, disk mirroring, performance

tuning, backup planning and disaster recovery, system monitoring,

troubleshooting.

As a Systems Administrator for TRW (DTS Program) (1998 to 2001), Mr. Chung

was responsible for the overall system administration of Enterprise 6000 &

6500 servers in a cluster configuration, running Solaris 2.6, HA 2.2,

Cluster Volume Manager 2.2.1 and 3.3.2 Veritas File systems supporting 2

million customers. He coordinated the installation, and worked closely

with developers in the installation of Oracle and Travel Manager under the

HA Frame work. Mr Chung also configured the shared disk array under Volume

Manager, and created logical hosts and disk groups for the installed

products. He installed and managed Sparc workstations running Solaris 2.6,

Solstice Backup 5.0.1 (Legato) backup system. In addition, he configured

Apache based web servers for eDirectory services on Linux systems Assisted

NT system, SCO administrators as a backup

As a UNIX Systems Administrator for TRW for the Treasury Communication

System Project (1996 to 1998), Mr. Chung responsibilities included the

overall system administration of five Enterprise 6500 servers, four in a

cluster configuration, running Solaris 2.6, HA 2.1, Volume Manager 2.6 and

Veritas File systems accessing 1.25 Terabits of data. He coordinated the

installation, and worked closely with developers in the installation of

COTS products such as Oracle under the HA Frame work. In addition, he

configured the shared disk array under Volume Manager, and created logical

hosts and disk groups for the installed products. Mr Chung managed four

Sparc 1000 servers in a dual cluster configuration running Solaris 2.4,

Solstice HA 1.3, and DiskSuite, ten Sparc 20 servers, and fifty Sparc 5

clients spanning multiple T1 circuits located in four separate buildings.

As a Data Processing Operator for the University of Maryland at College

Park (1993 to 1996), Mr Chung was responsible for managing user accounts as

well as data processing hardware and software maintenance.
