Business Analyst II

Senior-level IT position, serving as liaison between business unit end

users and IT resources (Managers, Application System Architects and Jr.

Business Analysts) to create and maintain highly specialized IT solutions.

Originally hired as Business Analyst I, but promoted to Business Analyst II

(Sr.), in 2009.

o Elicit, analyze and document the business needs of project stakeholders

in order to develop detailed business requirements for new systems. Use

communication, analytical and problem solving skills during the system

development lifecycle to maximize the benefit of IT systems and company

resources.

o Successfully lead IT department resources with the implementation of a

new Tier-1 Prepaid Billing application which lead to a 200% increase in

prepaid customers post launch. Effort included working with business to

define requirements, vendor selection, and implementation within IT

department which included integrations with all existing infrastructure

like Data Warehouse, Commissioning, and middleware applications.

o Completed numerous marketing strategy projects to introduce new pricing

structures, within BSS and OSS systems, in order to differentiate

Cellular South from our competition.

For the first time, Cellular South subscribers could take their phone and

roam all over the world.

Team Lead - Billing Reference Data Management

Due to exceptional performance as an IT consultant, was hired full-time to

develop the Reference Data Management team within the billing organization.

o Created and managed team of 6. Within one year the team was hired,

trained, and fully operational, reducing operational costs previously

incurred from outsourced work to an estimated cost savings of over $900K.

o Managed all billing system software releases and data updates. Provided

technical expertise and test case reviews for over 10 new release

versions of billing software. Defined team processes and procedures for

additions/modifications of billing system financial data.

o Held key role in several system integrations of acquired companies,

totaling over 500K customer accounts. Provided data mapping requirements

and review of inbound system setup.

o Served as subject matter expert on several projects including: e-billing

system, IVR/billing system integration, trouble ticketing system, e-

store, API integration for several middleware projects, Marketing

campaigns, new rate plans, regular promotions and product launches for

prepaid product, Ringback Tones and push to talk services.

Consultant - Billing Production Support Contract

Consulted corporate Revenue Assurance team on how to set up and maintain a

Business Support System (BSS) billing and customer care application.

o Trained and mentored employees on daily production support issues to

ensure billing accuracy while being involved in new projects for the

billing support organization.

o Managed new pricing requests from corporate and regional marketing

departments. Ensured that they understood the functionality and

limitations of the pricing system.

Consultant - Team Lead/Conversion Testing Contract

Recruited to lead a group of 12 through the testing phases of a billing

system conversion.

o System expert on new system (Atlys) and Team Lead for conversion issue

management.

o Managed 12 employees' time and schedules to ensure work was completed

successfully and on time, tracking progress of the group's testing

efforts and reporting directly to the Director of Business Operations.

Contract position as lead BSS analyst for company's brand launch in

Chicago.

branding and products aligning with company objectives.

o Post launch, served as interim operations leader, responsible for

billing, rating, and finance data management. Managed marketing and

business requests for change in the billing application, and facilitated

testing while continuing to support the business as BSS/OSS subject

matter expert.

wireless billing system. Managed and implemented all departmental requests
