Perform various accounting functions in A/P, A/R, and
general ledger. This includes preparing journal
entries, reconciliations, and accruals for month end
closing schedule. Also, familiar with GAAP, auditing,
and SOX compliance in these areas
Provide cost accounting, financial analysis, and
pricing for large-scale projects (contract agreements),
manufacturing processes, and other agreements as
necessary.
Experienced with cash management procedures including
payroll, deposits / withdrawals, and daily cash
procedures. Also managed cash needs for several groups
that included ACH payments, bank wires and purchasing
card transactions for various needs.
Using Oracle and Quickbooks, provide all accounting for
business needs, prepare journal entries, assist with
A/P and A/R items, and interface with CPA on tax
related items.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, track and report
inventory levels, and account for large budget centers.
Lead implementation projects for software programs,
interfaced with the IT development teams, and ensure
that all accounting needs are met.
Developed, analyzed, and tracked capital and budget
expenditures. Also performed cost analysis, cost
justifications, and payback analysis for such expenses.
Prepare yearly budgets, monthly forecasts, and conduct
month-end meetings for all levels of management. Also
provide trend and gap analysis reports on fixed and
variable costs for $100M+ cost centers.
Project management for government and private
contracts, IT related projects, and complex issues
that required problem solving and analytical skills.
For projects, developed activity costing schedules,
tracked expenses, and identified gaps. Also, if needed
performed post audit analysis with outside firms.
Responsible for capital needs including purchases,
scheduling repairs, and amortization of costs.
