The goal of the Compliance Monitor is to support the research staff
and protect animal subjects by confirming accurate and
consistent IACUC approved protocol performance of animal
based research in a collegial and unobtrusive manner. Works
with investigators and laboratory staff to observe activity,
prepare accurate reports, provide recommendations for
maintaining compliance, and provide necessary training.
Assist the IACUC Coordinator, Attending Veterinarian and
IACUC Chair to handle regulatory reporting and interact with
federal agencies, and the Institutional Official to achieve a
comprehensive and care and use program. Coordinates
activities associated with processing animal protocols,
whether for research, teaching, testing or training to ensure
that submitted protocols are reviewed efficiently and
consistently with LRRI policies and procedures, federal
regulations and guidelines and state statues; and provide
professional administrative support to the IACUC
