Regional Service Manager
During a successful career with a leading manufacturer of medical products
I earned multiple promotions and higher degrees of accountability. As an
Associate Electrical Engineer for the corporate R&D group, I contributed in
the effective evaluation, testing and support of new electronic products to
the US market place. Promoted to a newly created position of Field Service
Engineer in the Medical Instrument Division and throughout a 10 year period
was an integral part in the hiring, placement and training of a nationwide
Field Engineering team that exceeded 70 engineers. I developed the initial
training protocols and course work for new technical support personnel,
first as a Training Coordinator and later as the National Manager of
Technical Training. Promoted to the position of Southeast Regional Service
Manager in February 2000, where I supervised the daily activities
associated with the service delivery of 4 depot repair facilities and a
regional field engineering team. My 23-person team provided service to all
or parts of 11 southeastern states in support of our corporate sales
effort. Surveyed, selected and led the creation and implementation of new
service depot locations, staffing of personnel for those new locations,
establishment of inventory and monthly supervision of operating expenses
for cost effectiveness for each location.
