My 25-year journey through mass communication has weaved its way from cut-
and-paste layouts and proportion wheels to digital video and Web 2.0.
Adapting to and growing with these changes is exciting, but never obscures
this fact -- newfangled technology flops without a foundation of clear,
concise, engaging messages.
