My encounters with different types power distribution systems has led me to one conclusion: my passion is
to become a medium and high voltage power system engineer. I have throughouly enjoyed my envolvement
with the construction of substations and medium voltage distribution systems and my experience designing
medium voltage distribution systems.
With my previous design experience working as a consulting engineer, contractor engineer, and
manufacture engineer, I understand the importance of coordination with the various trades involved in a
project. As a consulting engineer, project coordination with the designers and other disciplines involved
ensures a proper design. As a former design and control wiring engineer at a transformer manufacturing
facility, coordination was required with the electrical control drafters and the tank engineers to make certain
that all components required by the customer were installed both on the tank and in the control panel, with
the proper connections to both. As a contractor engineer, organization and coordination between the client,
suppliers, and construction workers were required in order to finish a project on time and within budget.
Through all of this experience, I have learned proper coordination combined with appropriate attention to
details allows a project to finish on time and on budget with ease.
