Thesis
Neural Interface project
It involves modeling of the neural interface using mathematical and
experimental techniques. Briefly, the project delves in nerve regeneration
forming scar tissue around it by solving Maxwells equations and Planck
equations in three dimensions. The regenerated nerves are hence used to
obtain electrical signals. The project involves its modeling by
discretizing using mesh generation method in MATLAB so that optimum value
of the signal can be obtained from the regenerated nerve fibers.
Technical skills
Programming: C+, C++,UNIX,JAVA
Engineering tools: MATLAB, LabView, PSPICE,Gambit,Wireshark
Web development tools: Dreamweaver
Office: Microsoft office 2000, Office 2007
Operating system: Windows XP, Windows 7,Firewall
Others: General hardware troubleshooting, worked with Network Analyzer and
Spectrum Analyzer
Projects accomplished
Graduate course
1. Filtering of noise from the signal
All kinds of signals contain noise when they are being transmitted. The
main objective is to obtain the signal efficiently and increase the signal
to noise ratio.
2. Wireless communication
This project involved in development of MATLAB codes for MIMO simulation.
The testing and validation results confirmed the correctness of the logic
and the program.
Undergraduate course project
1. Microcontroller 8086 based controlling remote devices
This project deals with control of the basic electrical appliances and
machines using 8086 microprocessor. Devices such as Air-conditioning,
light, etc can be controlled from outside whenever needed. It helped us
understand the logic behind the control and interfaces while accomplishing
the task experimentally.
Work experience:
1. Library Assistant
Worked as a Library Assistant for Mumbai University 2007-2008 in India.
2. Peer Tutor
Worked to provide mentoring to students in senior years of undergraduate
studies that includes Biology, Trigonometry, Calculus 1, Calculus 2,
Algebra, Geometry, Physics 1, Physics 2, Organic Chemistry, General
Chemistry, Advance Electronics, Microprocessors, Data Communications and
more.
3. Marketing Administrator in "Marketing Unlimited"
Worked for Hutch (Vodafone) and Mumbai local radio station in the years
2006- 2007 and had to deal with prospective clients. Worked as a tour guide
in Mumbai University for the year 2007-2008
4. UTA Book store
Working for UTA bookstore in University of Texas at Arlington from August
2010 as a Cashier
Leadership experiences:
1. Board Member of ISTE( Indian Society for Technical Education)
student's chapter, Mumbai University, INDIA.
Worked actively during the undergraduate degree for organizing different
technical events such as National Level Technical festival held every year
on the campus, workshop for different software for junior students,
technical quiz etc. and was selected as a board member in 2007 for one
year.
2. Active Member of IEEE (Electronics & Communication
Organization).
I worked as a volunteer in IEEE in organizing school.
