I began my career on mainframes, starting as an application

developer/coder, then moved to hardware capacity planning, performance

tuning, and management reporting. I then segued into hardware benchmarking

and evaluation for processors and all peripherals - ie., tape, DASD,

printers, ATLs, and GRE complexes. Later in my career, my scope was

focused on storage devices (VTL, SAN/NAS disk, and optical media) and data

replication/migration techniques that we deployed for data center

migrations, disaster recovery, and local replication for offline

processing. I have sat on both sides of the table in vendor/customer

relations, providing engineering technical support and product

presentation.
