QUALIFICATIONS

I am trained to troubleshoot and repair AC/DC circuits and electronics using relevant testing

and repair equipment. I have used Microsoft Windows 3.1 through XP and Vista. Used Microsoft

Server 4.0, 2000 and 2003 for student and staff databases. I have used varying versions of Microsoft

Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint to meet different needs. Familiar with the Apple

and Macintosh operating environments from OS 6.1 to 9.2. I have also been presented awards for

displaying “Outstanding Professionalism and Excellence” from Redwood Area Schools and Schwan’s

Sales Enterprises. Currently training on the usage of VoIP, creating VPN’s and VLAN’s through Cisco,

PGP, GPO’s, Remote Desktop Assistance, PoE, using Command Lines, mapping drives and misc other

tools to help clients and keep networks running.

Telecommunications Systems Technician.

Current Power Limited Technicians License from the State of Minnesota.

Gateway Authorized Service Technician for 3-years at Redwood Area Schools.

EMPLOYMENT

Presently I am self employed as a Computer Technician and working with HDC of Duluth,

MN on a part-time technical contract. I help clients with repairs, upgrades and

re-installation of hardware and software on their computers. Provide consulting

services on purchases of new equipment. Light DeskJet and LaserJet printer

repairs and service. Wireless networking to meet client needs.

2007 Completed an assignment at 3M in New Ulm as a Computer Support Specialist

through Manpower out of Mankato, MN. I inspected, cleaned, diagnosed and

repaired computer systems for 3M’s Automated Library Checkout System. I also

documented, recorded and updated service procedures using Microsoft Office

enhancing the quality of documentation for 3M’s refurbished computer systems.

2005-2006 Service Technician, Vestas – American Wind Technology, Inc. of Tyler, MN.

I remotely monitored wind turbines in various wind farms using sophisticated

software to ensure productive operation. Performed scheduled services and

unscheduled repairs as needed. Inventoried truck tools and helped with keeping

the stock area organized and neat. Replaced gearboxes, generators, yaw gears

and other components as required.

1999-2005 Computer Technician, Redwood Area Schools – Redwood Falls, MN.

Setup, repaired and installed software on computers throughout the district. I

helped maintain 500+ computers within two sites with over 1,000 students and

225 staff. I installed and maintained a 24-hr security monitoring system in both

school buildings upgrading components as needed.
