Design, Management and Construction Experience:
Project design and construction contract administration experience includes
numerous new and renovated educational facilities at the primary, secondary
and university levels. Civic projects have included police, fire, rescue
squad and public human services facilities for a number of clients. Other
projects include several healthcare and state government projects of
various scopes.
Design responsibilities have included the selection of rated building
assemblies for building code compliance during the early phases of project
design, as well as overall building performance evaluations during the
subsequent design phases. I am accomplished in the preparation and
presentation of master planning and feasibility studies for several clients
including long-term strategic growth initiatives. Feasibility studies and
assessments for the University of South Carolina, Office of General
Services (State of South Carolina), the South Carolina Department of Mental
Health and the Town of Aiken (SC) are notable examples. Office and project
management responsibilities over the last several years have included the
senior management of document production teams, including engineering and
specialty consultants and coordination of all project documentation. In
addition, I've carefully and successfully managed client relationships
during the course of my career. My standard of interaction and care has
resulted in continued service to a number of those clients enjoying success
on previous projects. Computer skills include experience with Autocad
(with Autodesk overlays), Revit and the Microsoft Office Suite
applications, including Excel and Power Point.
In addition, my experience in construction contract administration has been
extensive over the past 18 years. Responsibilities have included the
senior management of numerous projects concurrently from contractor
mobilization through project close-out.
