for students who enrolled in Websphere classes that were delivered by

Lotus LearningSpace, by Web-based Training on a Learning Management

System, or by Instructor Led Online (ILO) Training tools. Integrated

these applications with the Learning Management Systems on a Websphere

Portal, and with the LDAP server. The databases allowed the department

to increase enrollments from 200 per month to over 1200 per month, and

thereby greatly increased the revenue.

. Developed a Newsletter Subscriber database to manage approximately

13,000 subscribers to the department's WebSphere newsletter.

contained enrollment instructions.

. The student was also added to a Learning Management System.

. Other applications involved automating the fulfillment process where

physical inventory was involved.

. The Inventory database was automatically updated as Packing Slips,

International Shipping Forms and Order Confirmations were processed

with the click of a button.

. These automation applications reduced our department's processing time

drastically and increased accuracy. This allowed us to take on an

increasing amount of work, which caused our Department to grow quite

rapidly.

. Resulted in external customers seeking out our automation solutions

for their own education processes.

. Found innovative ways to overcome challenging issues, such as

automating FTP transfers, or sending enrollments to an external

Learning Management System by URL and Web Services or by Aventail and

LEI virtual fields.

. Was recognized as a 'Star Performer' in the organization.

. Was given the complete responsibility for several large projects.

To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great privilege that I write to you in recommendation of Lystra

Williams.

I have worked closely with Lystra since June of 2005, during her time at

IBM as a Lotus Domino Developer, and have been her direct supervisor since

February of 2007. Throughout this time, Lystra demonstrated great

perseverance and initiative.

I have found her to be an exceptionally dedicated and bright woman who is

never afraid to take on a challenging project. I remember her first week

well. She was able to hit the ground running, as a creative approach for

developing an eLearning enrollment processing system from scratch has

allowed us to save upwards of 20 hours of manual labor per week. Since

then, Lystra has continued to show great passion for her work. Often

working very late nights and weekends, she has always gone the extra mile

for her development projects.

I feel confident in saying that Lystra is a creative person with a high

degree of intellectual curiosity. She is in that very small minority of

developers who is not only highly skilled in developing applications, but

also takes the time to understand the underlying organizational processes

as a means to develop truly effective applications. In the four years we

have worked together, I have seen her develop and refine everything from an

Instructor Availability database that spans thousands of instructors across

100+ countries to an extraordinarily complex eLearning fulfillment

application that automates a complex process incorporating Learning

Management Systems, Virtual Classrooms, Remote labs, and more. What has

truly impressed me about these applications is not just their reliability

but the clarity and intuitiveness with which the interface is presented to

users.

It is clear to me as I hope it is to you that Lystra Williams is an

exceptional employee, one that would be an asset in any technical job role.

I wholeheartedly recommend her.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

David Swanger
